Jumby Bay,A Rosewood Resort Saint John's

The rooms have a nice sitting area, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice.

We needed 2 rooms, both with double beds, WE GOT 2 ROOMS, ONE WITH A QUEEN SIZE BED, AND ONE WITH 2 DOUBLE BEDS.

Accommodation - The one bed suites are huge!

Our room was a 2-bedroom suite in a rondavel.

Huge double bed, walk in shower, big room and a lovely terrace with sun loungers and a table and chairs with a sea view.

Twice a week the Estate House shuts and you have to eat at the Verandah restaurant (where you have lunch and breakfast).

They advertise that there are 3 different restaurants, however when you arrive you realize that the beach bar and the verandah are basically the same restaurant, one open during the day, the other at night.

The Verandah restaurant, serving breakfast and lunch reminded me of a cantine although it's location was right by the beach.

In their defense the breakfast and menu style lunch at the verandah and beach bar are pretty ok; what you would expect from a 3 star all inclusive - NOT A 5 STAR, AND NOT AT THIS PRICE.

Food way above average--breakfast buffet was lovely, lunch innovative, dinner at Estate House romantic, though the menu was not all that risk-taking.

The front desk/concierge service was very rude and dispalyed an attitude of not really wanting to help us.

I agree that the front desk and concierge folk need better prepping.

The staff and services at Jumby Bay are top shelf and after spending time with Jenny, Elaine, Stratty, Patricia, Kenny,and Shelly, we can not wait to return.

Service was outstanding as well - the staff was genuinely interested in remembering our names, and that we were enjoying ourselves.

The gym/fitness room was hardly worth a visit, no spa, only one pool with no sea views, no choice of restaurants for dinner.

Days were spent with bikes rides, water skiing, snorkeling, dipping in the pool, walking past the well-equipped fitness center, shopping in the little boutique, but mostly.

The two major drawbacks were the lack of a spa and the lap pool.

Our room was always cleaned with fresh towells, and flowers.
