      It was this bad: we left as soon as we could, paying our own money to stay at a hotel in Belize City the next day.

      Order pizza from pirate pizza will deliver to hotel great prices and very good pizza.

      Superb hotel with attentive staff and great location.

      We were intending to get married at another location, but as soon as I saw the resort, I quickly changed my mind.

      The overall facility was very nice and spoke well to the location.

      We opted to pay extra for transfers from Belize City Airport and it was a real pleasure to have our plane over to the Caye, a taxi at the airport and the JER water taxi waiting for us.

      It is situated about four miles north of town, connected by a dirt bike path along the lagoon, a path along the beach, and an hourly water taxi (the most popular means of transport).

      The rooms had AC, a fridge, bed and bathroom but not much else.

      The AC did not work, the room was very small, the bed was uncomfortable, and there was not hot water.

      The floor tiling was cracked and missing pieces, there were dead bugs on the bed netting, room refrigerator with folded paper as a leg, hideous wicker furniture, and a tissue box that looked like it hadn’t been replaced in two years.

      My cell phone went missing inside my room and management was very short of words when I was chewed out by bed bugs.

      The only thing in our room was a bed and a small table.

      We opted for a breakfast-only meal plan, and took advantage of the restaurants in San Pedro, and the fantastic Rendezvous restaurant next door to the resort (featuring REALLY good Thai food on the menu).

      The restaurant onsite is quite good for breakfast and lunch (I thought it was a little less good at dinner, but that's just an opinion).

      The bar at the pool and the lounge next to the restaurant were not open (and we were told that it hasn't been open for a quite a while).

      The Luna restaurant is excellent quality and infact better than some high end restaurants I have been to in the States.

      They have a restaurant and cigar bar on site.

      The staff, service, and attention to detail were unparalleled!

      The general service of the resort though was lousy especially the front desk and who appeared to be the manager of Luna was obnoxious.

      The jacuzzi is non existent, the pool is much smaller than the pics; we had to change rooms because of the air conditioning.

      I got the best swedish massage from their SPA while my husband went diving.

      Two other semicircles have garden or pool views.

      I found out that they have wi-fi, but not a strong signal.

      Plus, there is free Wi-Fi throughout the resort!

      The rooms were air conditioned and clean.

      We stayed in a lagoon room, it was comfortable and clean.

      We had a poolside room and the pool was kept clean and clorinated constantly.

      The rooms were clean and neat - not the luxury we're accustomed to in the states but an ambiance all their own.

      Pool was great, room was exceptionally clean, meals were way above average!

        There was this amazing sugar-like sand right outside each room (the cabanas are on the beach). And the sparkling water was right out of a movie. One day I found that the maid had forgotten to give me fresh towels and was expecting a long wait to get more, but the resort is intimate and they are attentive to each guest. Clean towels came quickly with no fuss from the staff about my request.

        However, if you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere, free of televisions and phones, awesome people, solidly good food and lovely excursions - this is a great place to stay. It is about 4 miles North od the main town in Ambergris Caye - San Pedro, but there are plenty of water taxis, and when the roads are in good condition, golf carts rides are always fun. The staff really aimed to please during our stay, and the prices on all the excursions were very good (and believe me we did it all).

        My cell phone went missing inside my room and management was very short of words when I was chewed out by bed bugs. The rooms are very hot, and the air conditioning is not suitable for the size of the room.

        However, many of the staff were excellent.

        There are so many details that make this resort not for the discriminating traveler: dirty/torn beach and bath towels, trash/broken glass on the beach, broken toilets, cheap pool and beach chairs, trash dump within sight of the beach. The biggest problem I encountered was a theft of US$160 from the room. At check-in, the front desk tells you that there are no room safes, but that you can keep things behind the front desk in a locked box. Noone in our group used it because of the inaccesssibility (the front desk closes at 7 PM). The manager looked into the issue, but offered no explanation or resolution.

        The rooms were well decorated and comfortable. The beds are unlike any I have evr seen! Very gourmet and good service!

        Love the bungalows, love the quiet beach, love the food (the kitchen put out incredible food - the one thing I was totally worried about). The rooms and facilities are not clean, the staff is good natured but lazy. So, if you like a quiet beach and kicking in a hammock and then having a really good meal, but also don't mind having an unswept room with someone else's hair in your shower and waiting a 1/2 hour for your food, you'll be cool.

        My wife and I enjoyed 8 restful days at this great resort, with fabolous food and drinks on the beach ,and in the restaurant. The staff made us feel thoroughly at home, and completely at our best while soaking the sun and enjoying the complimentary watersports activities. The wireless internet was accessible on the beach. We really liked our privat cabana room with a/c and fridge for the local beer. Superb hotel with attentive staff and great location.

        The bathrooms were like my old college dorm. Plus, #3 & #4 you can lie in bed and see across the palms to the water. In #9 the bed is placed against the window, so you don't get a view from the cabana.

        The DO however have a computer with DSL and wireless internet, so if you bring your WiFi phone or laptop you'll have some outside connection. 10 or more (bring some crackers as it can be a bumpy ride and some get sick - breakfast was awful - take snacks to tide you through to lunch). Call yourself or tell the front desk to dial it for you or e-mail.

        You really get to know the staff and they make you feel like family! You won't have drinks served to you on the beach from a guy with a tux and white gloves, but you will get the best service around! I felt like more of a VIP here than in the large resorts with so called "5 Star" service. This was the first touch that sold me on the service level. Not many criminals will pay the $$ 135 transfer fee to go to San Pedro to commit a crime!
