Johanna Park Hotel Sorrento - 索伦托

We were a little concerned with the distance from the town of Sorrento, as one cannot really walk to town from their beautiful hillside location, but they were totally accomodating with shuttle services at no additonal charge.

Sorrento was a good central location for this.

Lovely views, location of the hotel is excellent and the sheet cover looked scary ugly.

It is about a 10-15 minute right into the main part of town or roughly a $20 cab ride.

The bus to Amalfi goes right by the hotel as well, and you can buy your tickets from Johanna and catch it right out in front.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with large windows that filled the room with sunlight.

We were offered a room/one bedroom bedsit at one of the staff's private houses which of course we took, having nowhere else to stay.

Despite having no room service, no television, no phone or internet connection, no tea and coffee and milk, no restaurant or hotel facilities, we still had to pay full price for the room we booked but never got to see.

As a family of 4 (parents and two older children) staying in one room we were very very happy with our accommodations.

Free internet, decent water pressure, comfy beds.

Food in the restaurant was delicious, with a large buffet breakfast, including fresh fruit from the garden.

The onsite restaurant was very good the one night we ate there, food freshly prepared with ingredients from their garden.

Our entire family agreed that despite eating in many restaurants and paying astronmical prices on many occasions, we never had a more satisfying meal than those served to us at the Johanna Park.

The complimentary breakfast is excellent, as well as their dinner menu, if you don't feel like going into town and want a relaxing evening of dining - whether you decide to dine inside or on their outdoor terrace.

We had dinner at the restaurant and it was a good value at 20 eu per person and good food/personable service.

The owner, front desk staff, bar and food service staff treated us as though we were the only guests in the whole hotel.

Note that the hotel sits on the mountain well outside of downtown Sorrento, but their convenient shuttle service makes getting into town very easy.

On the Hotels' own website they stated that a pool and tennis court were under construction, despite emailing them twice to ask whether the pool was finished and receiving no reply, I was still disappointed to find no trace of either!

The shuttle bus was often late so you wasted quite a bit of time waiting.

The free shuttle made traveling in the area very easy.
