Jefferson Street Inn Wausau - Wausau Junction

Frankly, for the $10-20 extra you pay above comparable hotels (we had friends staying in the Best Western who were jealous), the Jefferson Inn goes a long way with location, comfortable accomodations and a good night's sleep.

The location is great if you are going to be in downtown Wausau.

Offers an unique combination of central city location and luxurious accomidations in the heart of Wausau.

My guest room was very, at par with a "big city" three or four star hotel, comfortable bed coverings, Avada bath products, mini bar an in-room snacks, etc.

The bedroom was wonderful with a deep, jetted tub, king size bed.

After a long day of skiing, I stayed with 2 friends in an executive suite, complete with 2 fireplaces, living room and jacuzzi tub.

We booked the suite for $119 a night - it included a nice size living area with a small kitchen (fridge, microwave, and sink), fireplace, and a very nice bedroom with a large adjoining bathroom area.

The service did not disappoint, and acommodated several requests we had for extra towels, bed and where to head for the night.

The breakfast in the on-site restaurant was tasty and the Jefferson Street Inn was very nice.

Hot tubs in the sleeping area and the restaurant in the hotel was very good at bar.

The City Grill, the restaurant in the hotel was very good at bar with a restaurant at a high-end hotel.

A continental breakfast including fresh fruit is served in the restaurant space in the mornings.

The staff was obviously well trained and provided absolutely superior service.

Although the spa is undergoing renovation and a little cramped for space, the staff is outstanding and spa services are great value for money.

We took advantage of the free shuttle to Granite Peak.

Well worth it, especially if you head for a night on the town with friends and don't want to worry about driving/parking.

This hotel is very nice and I would recommend it to anyone but if you are traveling with kids the hotel pool is very very small.

The only frustration is the wireless Internet access.

Easy to connect to wi-fi is also worth mentioning and the nice, uncommon selections in the mini bar.

Our room was clean, the hot breakfast option at the morning continental was an extra charge.

Helpful lady at the front desk talked us through and the room is clean and comfortable.

The hotel is clean, beds are very comfortable and the adjoining restaurant is very nice.

While the common areas and restaurant are very clean and nothing seemed out of place, our room was another story.
