When we pay for a hotel ourselves we expect both value for money and high standards.
A fanatasic relaxing location with lovely beaches and waterfalls nearby.
Location wise its a bit out of the way if you want to walk into Port Antonio but a taxi is only $50-75 dollars away ( 50-70p).
Instead we caught a taxi to port antonio town centre and bought dinner there.
Each room has a huge circular bed right in the middle which was very comfy, and a sunken bath.
They really go the extra mile in making sure you have a good time - fresh flowers on the bed every day and the owners are always on-hand to help smooth over any little wrinkles (including mending the printer in the IT room!
The room was very nice and clean, however I did see a coakroach in the bathroom and called the maid to remove it.
The room was adorable but they advertise balconies and we didn't see any rooms with balconies.
The room was amazing,marble floors hugh curtains and a palace-like bathroom.
There are great restaurants in the area and failing that the hotel restaurant isn't that bad either, but maybe best for the special treat as you can get a bit too used to the silver service.
The only areas where the hotel was lacking were---warm (not hot) water for showers, no bottled water at the restaurant/bar, and very basic hotel toiletries (we were fine as we brought our own shampoo, etc).
Breakfast is the meal to eat here, particularly if you like local food.
The breakfast was very nice and so was the lunch, however we never ate dinner there as it was very expensive.
Meals are around $10 for breakfast, $20 for lunch, $30 for dinner.
Personalities had been labotomised from the front desk, but bar staff were charming.
The waiter had given such good service and the room was beautiful.
The service (with the exception of one waiter) was very poor - quite attentive, but no smiles.
Friendly staff and beautiful accommodations and surroundings.
Beautiful accommodations, a great swimming pool.
The overall ambience is brilliant - really quirky - art and caged birds around every corner - the swimming pool in the shape of jamaica.
It has a nice pool, it has beautiful open spaces.
The hotel was lovely, the staff that greated us was very helpful and our room was very clean.
