But for the rates they do charge it is perfectly placed into the ranks of one of my "best for the value" hotels in California.
As I've travelled the world, I've stayed in some very nice hotels for much more money.
Us spending a lot of money at your hotel is not going to work?
It is NOT worth the money, which is too bad because the hotel is nice.
In lively Gaslamp district, awesome location and the lovely bar at the top of the hotel.
This hotel was in a great location and the room was beautiful.
I asked her to get a taxi for me so I could quickly get to the convention center.
Its a very luxurious hotel, they had this Escalade pick up from the airport and had rental rolls royces parked out front.
The room featured a 42" plasma TV, Ipod player, plush bed, great art work, and a beautiful bathroom with great amenities.
The rooms are SMALL, i found the single bed room to be smaller, so if you can get it switched to a double bed do so, youll get a little more room.
Things did not improve as we were then given a room with one double bed in despite having booked a room with 2 double beds weeks in advance.
The bed is really comfortable and there is an "open" tub/shower.
Great attitude from everyone in the place, the staff extremely helpful and the bed in my room was so comfortable.
After that, our interactions with everyone from the bell guy, to the rooftop bar waiter, to the hostesses at the restaurant, to the elevator guys, to the concierge were friendly, warm and just plain nice.
The restaurant and bar are both first rate.
The restaurant has great food, although here is the only place service stumbled a tad.
Hotel's restaurant was pricey, food was good, but not great.
Our food took over an hour to arrive and the restaurant was only ¼ full.
The staff, specifically Meg at the front desk and Robbie Mandagie as concierge were amazing.

The service was good, to the concierge were friendly and check-in was quick and easy.
Mini bar is very well stocked and sitting by the pool sipping cocktails is fine.
The hotel is filled with beautiful people and has a wonderful rooftop pool.

Our accommodations were beautiful, the free wireless was fast and reliable, the food was delicious.
The clear glass, wrap around tub/shower without curtains or screens will likely present some issues for some guests.
