Isle Of Mull Hotel Craignure - Craignure

It was a central location on the island - half way between Tobermory and the ferry to Iona.

Craignure proved to be a great location, very good quality of dishes to choose from.

Lovely location, nice decor and staff were very efficient and friendly.

The location was excellent and hotel was fine.

The public transport is infrequent and expensive.

We stayed in a one bedroom which had a spiral staircase, a window bed downstairs and a pull out sofa.

Our room was a reasonable size (twinbeds) and very clean and comfortable, bathroom with full bath and shower was also very clean.

This starts with the staff's attitude and goes as far as the camp-bed style bunks in the rooms with brown woolen blankets; the canteen-like restaurant, which even appears to serve people in sittings!

The walls are paper thin, you can hear the TV and talking from the rooms on either side, and every step taken in the room above.

As the hotel was full, the toilet was packed with towels, and we were moved to another room next morning.

Good local chat at the bar and great bar meals that can be eaten in any of the many areas inside and out, weather permitting and stroll down to the waters egde from the hotel, in a well worn path, lovely.

We we're on the DBB rate and I really can't complain about the food, the first night it was delicious and the second evening meal was decent, breakfasts were acceptable.

The breakfast buffet was truly awful - the food was of poor quality and over cooked.

Staff friendly and helpful, comfortable rooms, the bar meal perfectly reasonable.

Full scottish breakfast was very filling, dinner - was a different menu each night so no chance of getting bored with same food.

Reception was often not staffed and when it was, staff were not helpful.

Staff were friendly, the receptionist was very helpful and the hot tub was great in the winter morning.

Poor management saved by great dining rooms service by Eastern European staff.

New management was in place which resulted in somewhat questionable service although the staff was trying hard to please.

The pool and spa facilities at the hotel are amazing, swimming while looking at the magnificent views and try the outdor spa while breathing the fresh air of the island.

An excellent choice, complimentary local chocolates and one of the best Spa's.

Fresh local langoustines, nice spa facilities.

Also staff were friendly and the room was clean tidy.

Wonderful views from the room, neat and tidy clean room, lovely walk along the lochside to the local shop; also a great walk up the mountains through the forest to some waterfalls.

The bathroom was also clean, food was excellent and the waiters were very friendly.

Room was clean, helpfull food was first class.
