Iron Horse Resort Winter Park - 冬季公园

The first two nights we stayed in a two bedroom (one had twin beds) two bath suite, fully furnished dining and living area with very nice furniture and fireplace.

Both the studio and one bedroom unit have a pull out sofa (doesn't fit perfectly when pulled out, but still fine) and a queen murphy bed that pulls out from the wall.

Both of the rooms had either a sofa bed or a bed that pulls of the wall.

The third night we had to downsize to a one bedroom one bath suite which was a little too crammed for four, but we managed.

Most of the time, we stayed in a sports studio w/ the sofa bed unoccupied.

We were on a bed and breakfast deal and the buffet meal laid out in the bar area was fresh and fully adequate, but it was always a bit of a lottery on what would be missing each morning.

Don't overlook the restaurant at the resort, The Jane Grille, which serves excellent food -- we ate there twice.

There was a restaurant and bar on location, which also influenced our choice.

Of course, the bar and restaurant were closed both that evening and the next morning without any apology or explanation from the front desk staff.

One night we ate at the hotel restaurant which I have to say was very good.

Anyway, the staff felt really terrible because we had been dropped off by our private transportation and here we were at their front desk with all of our luggage.

The reception staff were extremely sympathetic (although it wasn't their fault)and made us feel very welcome.

Polite and helpful front desk staff, the internet didn't work at first.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, from receptionists through to the shuttle drivers, but there is definitely room for improvement in the services provided.

We were also amused by the number of profanities a fellow guest managed to get in one sentence when he found that there were no towels available for the pool or jacuzzi at 4.

We could ski down to the lifts with no problem, but coming back via the bus shuttle was a huge pain.

The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking essentials all had to do was hop on the hotel shuttle which runs every hour on the hour and bought groceries for the four day stay.

The place seemed very clean, its friendly staff helped make an awesome experience and hot tubs are outside so be prepared.

We don't normally stay in this kind of place, friendly staff and the room itself was very clean and modern.

It was clean and maintained well, but the beds were uncomfortable and the linens extremely sub-par.
