Convenient location to town and nice view of the Durango/Silverton train.

Decent location for going skiing, but you'll be driving, or taking the trolley, to get dinner in town.

We were there during the "blizzard" that caused all of those problems at Denver Airport, but weren't affected because we drove.

The motel, however, is far from the actual train station.

Evidently all of the rooms are "suites" which means that you have a main room downstairs with a fireplace, tv, microwave, refrigerator, 2 sinks, bathroom.

There were several things I didn't like about our room, including the fact that there was no air conditioner in our kids' loft room upstairs, as well as the broken lamp by their bed.

I ran down the stairs, and the bathroom door was open, no light was on, and the kids were in bed.

The second clue came when, while looking for our "suite" we saw a young man trying to break in the window of one of the rooms.

Also staff helpful and nice, clean room, the breakfast in the restaurant was very good.

The continental breakfast was lamer than most continental breakfasts.

BEDS WERE VERY CLEAN, the restaurant also had exceptionally good breakfast.

They offer a nice continential breakfast buffet with a wide variety of cereal, oatmeal, fresh muffins, toast or bagels with jelly or creme cheese, milk, juices and coffee or tea.

The breakfast was a bit weak, with knockoff cereals used rather than the brand name labels the containers showed.

The front desk staff was very helpful and sweet, trying to be as accomidating as possible, but the rooms themselves were not the greatest.

I lied saying the place was too far from the historic area and the front desk staff was very helpful and sweet.

We have written confirmation of the reservation but all the hotel staff can say is that "the computer must have changed it.

The second bad sign was that neither our friends' nor our reservations were on file with the front desk which caused a very long delay in getting a room.

I didn't use the pool or spa but it looked very clean and inviting.

More convenient to the town, nice view of the Durango/Silverton train and the hotel has a very large indoor pool.

There were some loud, suspicious acting local teenagers that were using the arcade/laundry and the pool.

To my surprise I found a very friendly and helpful staff and a cozy, clean room.

The place needed a good deep clean, great coustomer service and our room in the back by the railroad tracks was peaceful.

Better of staying at the Strater in Durango, the staff friendly and helpful, the room I stayed in was clean.

Nothing modern about this place, the service was good and our room was clean and quiet.

My first order of business was to clean the bathroom - add another $7 to my list of costs since I had to purchase cleaning products.
