Great location as only a few minutes away from the City centre/ Westfield, superb value and for the money we paid.
After relaxing shortly we went to the bar in the hotel which was nor more than two buldings and proboly 30 foot from the main hotel, not like the taxi ride the previous person made it sound.
Room shabby, bathroom stank from a wet carpet, scratched all night in a bed that looked as though had the last persons sheets still on as found hair in the bed.
After 4 journeys back and forth between the rooms, I dumped everything in room 82 and after scrutinizing the room, bed and covers inside out I reluctantly climbed into bed, by now it’s 3.
The room was a fairly decent size with tv, tea/coffee making facilities and a double bed.
The bathroom suite was pink and I couldn't get the cold water tap to work on the bath, also the shower had a tendency to shoot off water at odd angles and took quite a while to get hot, but it worked and did the job!
My room was large with a comfortable bed, work desk, tv and a couple of armchairs - perfectly comfortable for a couple of nights at the reasonable rate of £69 per room B&B which I paid.
I did not eat in the hotel in the evening as there are plenty of restaurants in the centre of Derby to cater for every taste, however the bar seemed to be very popular and was reasonably priced.
The bar is great, breakfast is substantial.
We were given room 81 of the East Wing several buildings away from the main hotel (which meant that we’d have to walk 5 minutes before getting to the main building to use the bar or for breakfast and also outside a main road bus stop!
The breakfast could not be faulted snd neither could the meals in the evening.
The room was excellent and the restaurant served mainly traditional English food was very well cooked.
Wuth excellent prices, friendly staff and the Receptionist was very welcoming and informative.
The staff are very polite and friendly receptionist - always willing to help.
The staff of the hotel were all very friendly and helpful, the service was also very good, the room was clean and tidy.
When I checked out only minutes after checking in, the reception staff didn't bat an eyelid or ask what the problem was, just reimbursed me straight away.
I found it easily, located not far from the ring road and parking was adequate (once the steep slope had been negotiated).
The hotel was like a sauna and it wasn't even that hot outside.
She had to then prop her disabled husband in the lift whilst someone took the wheechair downstairs for them!
Rooms were clean and the food - we found - very good.
Sunday Lunch was very good value, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, the room was lovley clean.
Very good quality, efficient staff and the beds were clean and comfortable.
The decor is a bit dated but it was clean which is the main thing and the beds were very comfortable.
My room was adequate and the sheets were clean.
