This hotel has hosted presidents, even Abraham Lincoln. The rooms are beautiful and the location near the National Mall is greatly appreciated. The public rooms are classy and elegant, and the dining areas are fabulous. Some find it all a bit stuffy, but others feel that it's all part of the classic charm.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the marvelous housekeeping staff brought a never-ending supply of towels.
The service was excellent, the bed and linens were comfy and the bathroom could use a little updating.
Super location, very nice stay all around and the Round-Robin bar off the lobby made an excellent night-cap.
