Intercontinental The Barclay New York - Nova Iorque

The location is superb, located right behind Grand Central it's convenient for Times Square, if you want to catch a show, the museum mile and 5th Ave.

The hotel itself is in a great location situated between 5th avenue and lexington avenue, and only 2 blocks down from times square.

The location is very good, the Intercontinental Barclay is a lovely hotel & is very well situated for a city break to New York - not too far from anywhere and nice Reception people.

Our return transportation to the airport was booked for the wrong day, which the concierge tried to resolve by giving us $6 for a taxi ride to some non-existent bus station.

While we were waiting for our airport transportation, a hotel employee scolded our adult daughter and told her to remove her foot from the furniture because she might damage it!

On top of that, she also then upgraded us to a suite with huge living room, massive bedroom with king size bed, and bigger bathroom with Penhaligan toiletries - again, all free of charge!

The rooms had the usual qualities of an upscale hotel; the stocked mini bar, comfortable bed, marble floor in the bathroom and an active internet port for your lap top.

When we finally got to the room, we were pleased with the 2 room suite, with living room, large desk, two TVs, comfortable king bed and a view towards Park Ave.

We found a good eatery for breakfast just around the corner in Lexington, and we would advise Patrick Conways Bar/Restaurant in East 43rd Street for lunch or dinner delicious to anyone.

The restaurant downstairs is pretty expensive and lowkey, but there are lots of options nearby, like Whiskey Blue at the W for a trendy bar or endless options of all types of cuisine from Starbucks to sushi nearby.

My recommendation is to leave the hotel bar/restaurant to someone else to try and wander around to find a better place to eat or drink.

Restaurant and bar were mega expensive with a pint of beer costing $10 so didn't use either but there are plenty of other places around to eat.

The bathroom was perfect and everything was very clean and tidy.
