Additionally the hotel is modern, prices are high and very polite staff deserves special mention.
Berchtesgaden is a perfect get away from the city, also prices are a bit steep - even for this kind of a hotel and fB staff is very friendly and helpful.

A very expensive hotel obviously, but believe me, you will get what you are paying for.
Fantastic location, cosy atmosphere and the staff very helpful and friendly.
Perfect location overlooking the town, overall: Impressive hotel and great views within a horseshoe-shaped building.
The location is breath taking the views are insurmountable, the quality of the fresh mountain air is remarkable.
My only tiny quibbles were being charged for the internet and for parking in their underground car park which just seemed petty for such a prestigious hotel.
Situated 15 miles from Salzburg airport and built over Bormans bunker the views are amazing.
Our room was large with a very comfortable bed, flat screen television and lovely balcony with courtyard and partial mountain view.
The bathroom fixtures are high quality, separate shower, generous sized bathtub, and closed-off toilet for privacy.
Most impressive feature was the really fantastic bathroom with a large walk in rain shower, large spa bath, double vanity with generous Molton Brown toiletries, and, last but not least, a window so you had a view while sitting in the bath!
It contained a comfortable king-sized bed, gas fireplace with remote, plasma TV with adjustable arm (plenty of entertainment options online) and lots of closet space.
The service was excellent, the bed was comfortable and food was of a good standard.
The restaurant which served breakfast and dinner was fantastic and the food was of a verry high quality (breakfast and dinner).
The breakfasts at the 360 Restaurant were spectacular.
We did not try the restaurants in the evening, though they looked and sounded great, but did take the wonderful buffet breakfast, which was superior to anything I have had at any rated hotel, ever.
Restaurants were good - we did not visit Restaurant THE CIEL but it also looked excellent.
The room was superb, the breakfasts at the 360 Restaurant were spectacular.
The hotel staff is very nice and very very service orientated.
Overall service was superb, the suite was very large and luxurious, the bar staff were friendly.
Location is beautiful, the staff went out of their way to make your stay wonderful and its services are very good.

The hotel lobby, with bars etc is very stylish, and so are the rooms, spa, pool - everything about the place is of the highest order.
The outdoor heated pool gives you views of the mountains, historic place and the spa services were very good as well.
Spa facilities are large and beautiful especially the outdoor pool with magnificient mountain views.
Staff is very friendly, the check-in table is a long table at least 5 feet wide and the rooms are clean and nice.
The room, we were in a superior room with a balcony but no fireplace, was very clean and extremely well appointed.
