The bathroom was terrific - gorgeous marble, a bath and a separate shower, lost of towels but rather limited toileteries.

On the plus side, the rooms are big, well-furnished, marble baths, high painted ceilings, and the staff was very friendly.

So, we changed into our bathing costumes in the toilets, and went down to the beach, finally getting into our room at 6pm.

The staff was generally friendly and helpful - especially a lady at the bar and guys on the beach/pool as well as waiters during the breakfast and lunch.

On other visits we've done absolutely nothing except lounge around, terrace-hopping and enjoying cocktails by the sea or in the bar or by the pool or in one of the rooms in the hotel.

The pool side restaurant was absolute luxury as you just eat and then hang-out on the deck chairs overhanging the ocean.

The restaurant by the pool overlooking the ocean is just pure luxury.

The breakfast on the balcony has a stunning view.

Very bad stay in july 2006 is not a 5 stars service, very bad Hotel, We will never be back there,the staff is insufficient of profession no Concierge service at all , They are always busy at the phone, with little tourism culture & information.

I agree with the person who wrote about snobbery at the front desk; the woman who works reception during the morning is an absolute horror!

Okay, the furniture and building is nice but the service, this is the worst I ever experienced.

We liked buffet lunch very much - excellent food and service!

When I return - and I will return in the future because it truly is a wonderfuly place - I wouldn't stay there again simply due to the reception woman.

Service was attentive and pleasant, although a steak requested rare arrived well done.

However, don't expect the pool attendent to help you with your chairs if you don't speak Italian.

Surely they know this happens, and should employ enough staff to clean the rooms between guests!

A hotel of this standing ought to be able to clean a room on time, and cook a steak!

The suite was very beautifull and clean, but nothing special.
