We found nice Talk of Town Cafe nearby with hot beverages. It was easy walk to Manuel Dimech St. It was close to il-bajja tal-balluta...

Found Lady Di with perfect drinks 200 metres away. You can walk to saint patrick's church. Special note of thanks to manager. Best hotel we have stayed in.

The quantity of the breakfast, the garden and the resting room, the value of the money, the girl at the reception was very kind and nice with me.
A bit noisy during the night, the quality of the breakfast was ok, the last time the room was cleaned was probably 1 month before I've arrived. (Only) the bald waiter was quite rude with the customers.

Only one TV station in the room (CNN) and very slow internet charged at high side

The hotel building, itself. Great architecture, a little rundown, allright, but with a lot of charm
The breakfast room is pretty dark and busy

I found the hotel to be charming. Its courtyard and pool area was lovely. Definately a place to stay if you prefer a quiet environment although was only a short walk to the busy sea front. The hotel cat was entertaining!
The breakfast could easily be improved. There was a TV in the room but it only had 2 working channels.

Cheap
First room was cold, damp and noisy. They did move us after we complained we could not get to sleep.

Good value for money. A bathtub was equipped in the room in spite of the budget price. Classic atmosphere of the house. Staffs were generally kind and friendly. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory, while the variety of dishes could be improved.
The room itself and facilities in it were quite simple. Blankets were slightly thin to sleep in winter nights. Sound and noise, such as quack, footsteps, rolling of trolley bag, rebound in the corridor and penetrates into the room, owing to slightly poor sound insulation of doors. Being located nearly at a hilltop of Sliema, it takes 3 to 5 minute uphill walk from the bus street, though this is not so significant matter.

As we were staying in Malta because my father-in-law was in Mater Dei Hospital after major cancer surgery I think it difficult to provide you with what you are seeking in this survey. We have stayed at the Imperial several times in the last 10/12 years and use it primarily for its location. My wife has stayed there more frequently over the last 40 years and it hasn't changed in all that time.
Was not aware until we arrived that it was 'room only' and there was a charge for breakfast a charge for parking a refrigerator was extra a hair dryer was extra etc. I was not aware at the time I booked that although I ad booked the flight at the same time the hotel booking had given me Sat. to Sat. booking although the flight was 'arrive' early Sat. and leave Friday afternoon we therefore lost a 62 Euro day charge which was(of course) not refundable (Not a complaint just an observation from the use of the website!)

Very characterful and large comfortable rooms. Good value for money.
The location is uphill and a bit far from anything of interest-- ferries, buses, restaurants, shops etc but on the plus side this makes it very quiet

The price was within my range and the hotel delivered above and beyond expectations. The Imperial Hotel became my 'homebase' during my stay in Malta and it was always nice to know that after a day out I would return to a big room (generous space for the price), a hot shower and a comfortable bed. I was staying in one of their 'budget' rooms with an ensuite (I know that they offer higher rate rooms) and I was surprised by the generous size of the room. The staff were fantastic. When you're travelling on a budget all you need, at the end of the day, is a comfy bed to sleep in... The Imperial ticked all the boxes for me. Close to the shopping district, close to the waterfronts.

It's central location.
It's overpriced in my opinion. I think it may be inspiring for writers - it's glum corridors and small dark rooms. For me it was the most depressing place i've seen in Malta during my 2 weeks stay.

Old fashioned & classic design.
Very poor value for money.Staff very polite but very laid back so the service could not be described as good. Rooms extremely basic, beds very hard and the plumbing old fashioned
