Imperial Hotel Galway

Located on Eyre Square is very convenient to all public transport, the location of the hotel is brilliant as everything is on the doorstep and continental breakfast is adequate.

The location is great and the imperial hotel is situated on eyre square.

The imperial hotel is situated right in the centre of Galway City,only a moment walk from the train station.

Twice we were visited at 10am by cleaning staff who entered our room without knocking,even though we were still in bed!

The room was also damp as were the bed sheets so we ended up with colds the next day.

Bathroom dirty , cracked tiles,pubic hair in bath.

The rooms were very nice, very clean, and the same size as anywhere else (don't know what the reviewer was referring to who complained that the room was small) There were 30 of us staying there and no one had a too-small room.

I can't confirm the standard of the food in the hotel as we did not eat there (there is so much choice located closeby), but the bar/restaurant seemed to be busy.

Varied carvery lunch is available in the bar and the continental breakfast is OK the coffee.

The barman in the lower bar was just great, breakfast was good.

The room was big and the food in the Bar was excellent we ate one night.

Breakfast was included, but we opted to eat at the nearby Bagel shop.

Reception employees very nice, the check-in staff were efficient and courteous, the rooms were clean and spacious.

The staff were nice and helpful but reception(kiosk) was in dire need of an upgrade to make it even close to acceptable standard for ANY Hotel as opposed to any Hostel!

On the plus side the bar/food and reception staff were found to be very plesant an efficient in ther duties.

Although some of the staff were friendly, there was one particular girl on reception who was not particularly helpful.

There was a friendly atmosphere and staff were extremely helpful.

Hunt for the stairways and elevators as the next floor of stairs are not necessarily right at the ones you just came down on.

The rooms were spotlessly clean and staff were brilliant especially the bar staff.
