We booked the hotel via their web site and the prices are about 50% of their nominal rack price.

The breakfast offered a good choice, and the hotel is associated with 3 restaurants, so for dinner we tried the Trattoria and were impressed by the quality and value for money.

We stayed in the Annex for the same price as a room in the main hotel.

Although the hotel was very good, I would say that it was slightly overpriced (probably expensive because it's within the city walls and also has parking facilities).

We chose the Ilaria for two main reaons: it is located inside Lucca's city walls in an extremely convenient location, and it offers on-site parking, which is not easy to find in that part of town.

Convenient location inside walls, other nearby towns and hotel Ilaria makes even better.

Excellent location within the walls of Lucca, great hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The frequent bus to and from Pisa airport costs around 5 euros for a return ticket and journey time is approximately 40 minutes.

The Ilaria has sound-proof windows, individually controlled AC, king size beds in large non-smoking rooms, an elevator in the main hotel, bicylces, showers in each room, a safe, and wonderful bathrooms.

We stayed on the first floor and the room was very spacious with a large king size bed, fully stocked mini bar and a wetroom/bathroom.

They had sitting areas and beautiful main bathrooms, in addition to an excellent shower room on the first storey, adjacent to the bed area.

This was a split level suite with a huge king bed and full bathroom up in the open loft.

Examples of the service were arranging coffee and croissants whilst I was awaiting my room to be made up when I arrived early and the bed being turned down and the bathroom being cleaned in early evening after I had gone out for dinner.

We ate at their Buca di Sant' Antonio restaurant and it ranks as the best meal we ever enjoyed in Italy (quite an accomplishment given the great restaurants in Italy).

For fine-dining, we has an excellent meal at the Buca Si Sant'Antonio restaurant in Via della Cervia where I had probably the best dessert I have ever eaten.

The choice for breakfast wasn't huge but everything was fresh & tasty, there was also a complimentary bar & snacks throughout the day.

The hotel does not have a restaurant but does have a small bar.

We found it very convenient for strolling into the centre to restaurants (2 just round the corner) shops etc.

All employees, including reception and housekeeping staff, were courteous, pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.

The hotel staff is excellent and as well as the front desk.

The receptionist directed us to a nearby trattoria had superb food that was reasonably priced and staff were attentive.

The location is excellent, lucca is a fantastic destination and the reception staff are charming and helpful.

The snack area provided free of charge in the lobby was very lovely, most Impressive were the staff were absolutely first class and we did not use the spa tub or sun lounges as we were too busy shopping.

There is free car parking too, an important consideration when travelling around Italy.

A pleasant terrace and jacuzzi area with comfy sun loungers, if you can drag yourself away from the many attractions of Lucca.

Room was spotlessly clean, availability of drinks was wonderful after a long day.

The rooms are clean, the lady serves breakfast is very professional.

The staff is in general friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, free tea/coffee/beer/soft drinks/snacks in the lounge during the day.

The price is good, and the rooms are clean and well cared for, if basic.

The rooms are clean and tey have on-site parking.

The location perfect, you park free and lucca is a wonderful town set in beautiful Tuscany. The hotel staff is excellent and as well as the front desk. The rooms are clean, the lady serves breakfast is very professional.

A nice central location, the free car park and helpful We loved the town of Lucca. Lovely clean relaxed hotel and historic building. The receptionist directed us to a nearby trattoria had superb food that was reasonably priced and staff were attentive.

My husband checked many times that the arranged price was EUR 250 and we went to a room that was not smelling bad. Also the jacuzzi was a little exposed to everyone on the terrace and breakfast on the first day wasn't great - had to wait for a table.

Excellent location for visiting Lucca and great town. Also the hotel was very central, the breakfast room was atop the building in a nice garden area and the staff were outstandingly pleasant and helpful. The bed was comfy and the 24 hour free refreshment bar was an excellant touch.

Lovely breakfast area and free bikes to explore the town were much appreciated. The decor was excellent, the staff was very helpful and snacks available 24 hours--our room was spacious and elegant. Served on a terrace that was a wonderful way to start the day, the coffee was amazing and their spoken English was infinitely better than our Italian.

On-site free parking and remarkable as the town. Such a nice hotel and the delicious breakfast buffet served on the balcony of the main building. Airy lobby has comfortable seating, friendly staff and the receptionist was helpful enough.

We liked the location, lucca's a great town and an excellent hotel within the city walls. The location is excellent, lucca is a fantastic destination and the reception staff are charming and helpful. Moreover the rooms are clean, the breakfast - the best of our trip & the free buffet - an additional bonus to look forward to after a morning's sight seeing.
