Hotel Il Saraceno Amalfi - 阿马尔菲

Another drawback to Il Saraceno is its location in comparison to the actual town of Amalfi.

It had a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and a balcony overlooking the Sea.

The rooms and cleanliness was also not what it was and one other new annoyance, this hotel does alot of weddings and in 2004 they added ariel bombs to the celebrations which exploded right outside our room even as late as midnite.

It appears that the bathroom in our room was recent redone, so it was clean, but ugly.

The toilet did not flush everytime and the bathroom was inhabited with a family of huge crawlly bugs.

Now it looks distinctly run down: rooms are shabby and not very clean, furniture in ours looked very battered.

We ate at the hotel restaurant on the first night of our stay.

The restaurant seems to be operating very half-heartedly (we had much better food in the beach cafe).

Attentive staff, good restaurant and certainly better dinner the next night.

The beach area perhaps could have made up for it (from the breakfast balcony it looked fabulous), but that wasn't on our agenda.

They also recommended us to a very third-rate restaurant called Alfredo's down by the marina.

Some of the front desk staff are helpful, the elevator access at the bottom of the stairs sits at the end of a long and i didnt expect the lovely gardens.

The views are fantastic, i would reccomend even its a bit out of your price range just stay one day its worth and some of the front desk staff are helpful.

Staff very friendly & attentive and the water is beautiful and clear.

Good car park you intend to drive, the pool is fantastic - clean fresh sea water and the free parking is a plus in this.

Although getting to the beach is by elevator (a bonus considering the number of steps down), but once you get off the elevator you're in a very dark long musty tunnel.

I recommend taking the elevator not the stairs down to the beach.

Views were great, the hotel itself were very clean and our room was spacious.
