The historic Ávila city centre, declared a Human Heritage Site by UNESCO is 10 minutes away by car. Local attractions also include Sierra de Gredos mountain range (Nature Park) and Salamanca.

      Getting there

      Travelers coming from Madrid on the A6 motorway will find the Hotel II Castillas at the entrance to Ávila, next to the N-110, which means entering the city is not necessary. The hotel is located close to the El Bulevar Shopping Centre and the Police Academy.

      Nearest major airport is Madrid, Spain (MAD-Barajas).

      From the airport by car: Head to the south for 750m, in the exit, drive onto Calle de Ariadna for 6.2km, at the exit 3 drive onto Autopista M-40/M-40 toward R-2/A-1/M-607/A-6 18.4km, at the exit 46 drive onto A-6 in the direction of A Coruña 30.6km, continue on AP-6 (the signs on the N-VI / A Coruña). Take the exit to the 81 for AP-51 in the direction N-110/Villacastín/Avila/Segovia. Toll road 850m, at the crossroad keep left, follow the signs to drive onto AP-51/Ávila and AP-51. Toll road 21.5km, continue on the A-51 road with paid sites 1.7km. Take the exit 105 towards Ávila for 290m, at the circle take the third exit at the N-110a for 220m, slight turn at Av de Juan Carlos I. The hotel is on the right in 550m.

        Convenient location for touring, other facilities across the road and this hotel is excellent for travellers exploring Sergovia, Soria area. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

        Ávilas old town, cathedral and walls are not at a walking distance, the reception staff and the breakfast staff are great.
