Our view was poor with us looking at the atrium, more of the hotel, and the Holiday Inn across the street, but we really didn't expect better for the price we paid.
We rarely (3 times during the entire week) had anyone approach us for money on our walks from the hotel to the metro, which was much different than our stays on the West End when we were approached several times each day.
I would recommend finding a deal on the place though because it is overpriced just like every other hotel that I have ever stayed.
The location is perfect, across the street from the famous fire station and price for hotel-very good you keep an eye on the website for specials.
The location is excellent and the hotel is located near the Capitol.
The location of this hotel is everything they promise: easy access to Union Station & close to the Capitol.
Selected it for the location close to Union Station, making it convenient for both arrival, departure and dining options.
You can also take the Metro from Reagan National Airport to Union Station.
As stated earlier, the train station is a stone's throw from the hotel, and the cab ride to the airport was fifteen minutes and a $12 fare.
The room was comfortable, clean, nice beds and bedding, large shower (no tub), good water pressure, plenty of towels, good air conditioning/heating, nice looking gym although we just looked.
The rooms had comfortable beds (although not like Westin's Heavenly Bed) and were decorated in a pleasing neutral color.
Very efficient check in, decent sized room with queen bed and 25" tv, good sized bathroom and fittings.
After asking for a king bed instead, I was moved the next day to such a room which also had a bathtub.
Our room was a nice size with a large comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and an easy to use ironing board.
The restaurant and bar are typical hotel fare: decent, if somewhat overpriced, food and beverage but certainly convenient.
Didn't eat in the restaurant but received indifferent service in the lobby bar, not very friendly and had to wait for 5 mins even though not busy.
Food and service related to the meeting less than optimal: poor quality breakfasts and hors d'oeuvres, dirty (very dirty, not just smeary, but obvious bits of egg and so forth) dishes on the lunch buffets, room set-ups not to specifications, etc.
Good restaurant, good lounge/bar, nice conference facilities that were comfortable and easy to get to.
The rooms, food service, restaurants and amenities are fine, nothing special, except for the rooftop restaurant which is a bit pricy but has a fabulous view of the Capitol.
Their staff on-site from housekeeping to the front desk to convention services is great and will do their best to accommodate you.
Check-in staff at Reception, the concierge, the valet guys out front, the housekeeping staff - they were all wonderful - always ready to help and never looking for a tip.
You must pay to use the adjacent pool/fitness.
As I prefer a high floor and the machine assigned me a room on the second floor (which, as it turns out, was just across from the elevator and the entrance to the fitness center), I had to see a desk clerk anyway.
Elevators are fast, bar are good and the gym is a high mark -- lots of equipment.
Good wireless connection and comfortable towels.
Wireless was available through T-Mobil hotspots for $ 9.
Customer service was great, but we checked in our room smelled terribly of smoke, we complained, they tried to clean it for over an hour, comped us at the bar, still smelled, then they comped our parking.
Staff were wonderful and the room was clean and comfortable.
The hotel is clean and the new beds are comfortable.
Rooms were clean and helpful Food was ok.
The room was quiet at all hours, well-appointed, and very clean.
