Hyatt Regency St Louis

The location is perfect -- right on the Metrolink inside Union Station and hotel is very well located for any downtown activity.

The parking situation is far from ideal and the best thing about the hotel is the location.

And the location and nearby shopping and restaurants is good.

The Metro-Link light rail system has a station at the Hyatt Regency, originating at the airport and extending through the downtown area.

It's very convenient to take the Metro from the Airport direclty to the hotel and vice-versa.

Issues-- Our room with king bed reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and the toilet ran all day and night.

They didn't have a double/double room when we checked in so we were upgraded to a parlour suite with a king size bed an sleeper sofa.

There were three phones in the room, two in bedroom, one in bathroom and one was portable.

The rooms are very clean and spacious is not the word, our room was huge with the same beds now being installed as doubletree use(they were waiting for the valances to be fitted t the beds).

I can't fault the cleanliness of the room or the comfort of the bed.

The bar is pretty cool, restaurants is good and great gym open 24hrs.

The next morning we had a delightful breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel restaurant seemed expensive--I opted for Starbucks for breakfast.

We had a few rainy days and we weren't forced to order room service, or go out in the rain for meals, we were able to choose from several restaurants at the Union Station mall food court!

This includes an upgraded room and access to a lounge in the morning for a very nice continental breakfast and evening for appetizers.

The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly upon check-in, the customer service at the front desk was excellent and the room was fine - clean.

The customer service at the front desk was excellent, the maids were great, the room was very nice, and my family and I had a wonderful experience.

Staff were very pleasant, the Concierge was helpful on many different occasions and the room was clean.

The only drawback was the high parking fees, and the lack of an indoor pool, but other than that, we were very happy with our stay.

The distance to the room, lobby and parking lot is extreme but not bad if you are in good physical condition and need the excercise.

The pool was expertly maintained and the gym was loaded with top of the line equipment.

They do not offer free internet access, high-speed or otherwise.

The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and the rooms are very clean.

Furthermore the room clean and has an excellent little cocktail bar.

Front desk was very courteous and the room was clean.

The room was fine - clean but a little on the small side.

The room was neat, clean, and orderly; the decor was modern and cozy.
