Hyatt Regency Santa Clara - 圣克拉拉

Good location, convenient to much of Silicon Valley due to being situated within a mile of two major highways.

But didn't feel personal - very geared toward business travelers, which is understandable given it's location next to the convention center.

Other than that, the location, service (excellent), rooms, comfort level are superb.

However, the departure route from San Jose International Airport goes right over the hotel.

It has been recently remodeled, with the lobby featuring attractive wood paneling, and kiosks so that you may print out your boarding passes prior to departing for the airport.

Though only king beds were available in non-smoking rooms at our time of check-in the reception clerk also kept track of our preference for a non-smoking double-bed that was available on the following day.

This property is very nice: remodeled rooms, Heavenly bed and bath, nice grounds.

We had called the night before and set up a certain type of room - renovated (they are going through renovations right now), on a top floor, with large screen tv, fridge, and king bed.

I checked in Sunday afternoon and got non-smoking, one king bed room without any issue.

Overall, it was a clean room, a comfortable bed, and the building was very elegant, but the staff were rude, and the little fees (and big fees) for everything were annoying.

True, they don't have free internet (it's $10 a day for hi speed WiFi) or free breakfast and restaurant / room service meals are pricey.

Breakfast was not included, and the only food I had was from the bar - it was not great & somewhat over-priced (eg $7 for a small bowl of soup).

Same restaurant is used to serve breakfast in the morning, so it's quite large and full of tables.

The restaurant breakfast is extremely expensive with prices in the high teens to over twenty dollars.

We had breakfast in the Tresca -- avoided the high-priced buffet, and took advantage of the low-priced kids meal.

Attentive maid service and the staff at check-in were very friendly.

Free parking, great and courteous front desk staff.

This hotel also has a jacuzzi next to the pool.

There is a heated pool with cabanas and a nice fitness room.

We were traveling with our eleven year old whose requirement is "do they have a pool" Yes and we were impressed with it, an outdoor pool where the water was crystal clear and the whirlpool hot with working jets.

Internet at the Hyatt is not wireless and is not complementary ($9.

The room was on par for the rating level, clean, spacious (about the same size as the Hilton across the street).

The best things about the hotel were the pool, the staff was friendly and the room was very nice - clean.
