Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort & Spa - 蒙特雷

Overall, not up to Hyatt standards, but they are changing that and will stay again after the renovation is done for the location- close to the freeway and downtown, but not walking distance to the beach or to cannery row.

The location was nice because it was right off the freeway and accessable to everything.

We actually loved the location, only a few minutes drive to the downtown, but it felt like we were in a wilderness retreat after our busy days of touring around.

Give yourself plenty of time to get back to the airport--3 hours is good.

The carpet needs to be replaced, the stairway smelled strongly of mold (I thought it was like the NYC subway smell) and the elevator was slow, creaky and needs to be redone inside.

We were pleasantly surprised - our room was really nice, new bathroom, ceiling fan, huge feather bed.

The staff was very courteous on check-in, switching me from a first-floor room with 2 double beds to a third-floor room with a king bed.

We were escorted to our room by a bellhop on a golf cart, he carried our bags in for us, another employee brought us a rollaway bed (at no cost) and two robes (at no cost).

The rooms are nicely renovated with a comfortable bed and a nice, large LCD flatscreen television.

The room maid service is very reliable, the water bottles were always replaced, the bed is squishy, and the walls are THIN.

00 credit per night which can be used in restaurant or bar (but we did not eat there) or can be used for food items in their small gift shop.

In addition, there is a nicer Italian restaurant and a Knuckles Sports Bar (too noisy that night), but we preferred to just sit in the lounge and look out at the beutiful golf course.

Restaurant breakfast very good [only ate breakfast at hotel] $11.

We ate breakfast at the Peninsula restaurant and it took 15 minutes to get our drinks and 30 minutes to get our bacon and eggs.

There is a nice bar/restaurant in the main lobby with live music.

The front desk personnel and service staff were friendly and helpful, easily answering all our questions.

We used all of their services, front desk, room service, went to Knuckles Sports bar during happy hour, sat in the Fireside Lounge for live music and cocktails, and found everyone working there to be very gracious, helpful, and pleasant.

We did not use the pools/jacuzzi, but people appeared to be enjoying the pool/jacuzzi that we saw.

The pool is nicely heated and the jacuzzi was hot.

The front desk was very accomodating and concerned about possible noise that would wake our daughter so she put us away from the pool (lots of kids in there) and away from the parking lot.

Charged $10 daily for wi-fi internet use via tMobile - free at every other hotel we stayed.

It's really slow, and the connection between the wireless keyboard and the screen was terrible.

The room was neutral in decor, clean, spacious, and very quiet.

The rooms are renovated, clean, very comfortable with high end amenities.

All of the staff I encountered seem very nice and professional, the room is clean.

Room appeared clean, down comforters were a nice touch, plenty of pillows, and parking was ok.

Our room was clean, comfortable, and most importantly, quiet.
