The location is dull -- it's attached to an ugly mall which makes the area busy, but without attraction.

The Park Hyatt as we know it is an excellent hotel in an ideal location.

Because of our only l night stay - we did think we may as well have stayed at an airport hotel to save on taxi fares - but we thought the hotel was excellent.

Would highly recommend this hotel for a longer stay as it is about 30 min to the airport.

We asked for a room on a higher floor and were given the highest one possible for our room type (city view with king bed) we booked directly with the hotel website - great as they have a best rates guarantee.

Upon arrival I was allocated a lovely room - only trouble was someone was already in there asleep in bed.

The service was spotty, the rooms were small, not lavishly appointed like other Park Hyatts, the bathrooms and towels looked like they belonged at a Holiday Inn.

Poor service, hotel room had a broken window, bathroom shower had stains all over it and quite disgusting, the shower drain was clogged.

The hotel rooms are well designed and spacious, and the bathrooms beautifully designed for function and ease.

Food in both restaurants was above average and again service was great.

Did not arrive at hotel til 6 pm so not safe to go out sightseeing but had a lovely meal in the Mall downstairs after the gorgeous spa - very relaxing after travelling - and had a super breakfast in the morning.

Liked the location as you can walk to shops and restaurants from the lobby.

Service is veeery slow and the restaurant Zafferano has some of the WORST Italian food I have ever had- to avoid at all costs!

Immediately nearby is a nice mall with hairdressers, some galleries and lots of stores and restaurants.

Moreover good service is an unknown to the staff here and as well as a concierge on the floor dedicated to the floor's guests.

Staff was courteous and helpful, close to shopping and a great sunday market is a 3 min.

The spa area was just fantastic with everything supplied you could imagine.

Pool on the roof is superb overlooking the forest and Johannesburg.

    Friendly staff, beautiful rooms, great food, privacy at its best.

    The Park Hyatt Johannesburg is a hotel with a difference that catered for my business needs while I was there and also kept my family entertained at the same time. The rooms seem to have been updated recently and I must say they are very luxurious, the only down side is that they have the new train station being built across the road so the view is a bit obstructed at the moment. Although I found it interesting to watch them build and later realized that I never heard any of the construction going on during my stay. It is definitely one of the best hotels I have stayed at in Johannesburg and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys being treated like a VIP.
