The location is just across the river from the downtown and convenient to all parts of the city.
The one quibble I have is the Hyatt's location.
If you are traveling (as I was) on business this will not be a major issue, as it is extremely easy to catch a taxi from the Hyatt, but otherwise the location should give you pause.
Its prestige also means you will always get a "good" taxi, meaning a courteous driver with a new, luxury vehicle and air-con.
The hotel is not very far from the city centre (although a taxi is needed to get there, but they come very cheap).
I agree with all of the previous reviewers - the rooms are bright and spacious, the bed incredibly comfy and the bathrooms a very nice size.
Unlike most hotels in Europe, a king room has a real king bed, not just two two beds pushed together with two separate duvets.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the room facilities were all there.
The room was large, and the bed very comfortable.
Same for bathroom that contains both shower and bath.
A large, modern meticulously clean hotel with professional staff, comprehensive breakfasts and a bar that does probably the best burger Ive ever eaten.
Food in hotel restaurants and at breakfast is very good too.
The restaurants were fabulous, with a great pasta night in the Italian restaurant.
The restaurants and cafes were overpriced and the service in the main restaurant was abysmal when busy.
The breakfast was great, the service in the metropolitan grill at lunch time was very attentive (the food was delicious if expensive by belgrade standards).
The staff were all very helpful, from the endless cup of coffee at breakfast to the front desk personnel who spent hours on the phone trying to track down my lost luggage.
THe hotel's service was very genuine and provided honest recommendations for where to find good dining and services in town, without insisting on the hotel's own amenities.
The staff was very helpful, from the reception staff to the Italian chef who cooked our pasta for us.
Reception staff were hit and miss but I don't speak Serbian so have to take some responsibility for this.
The spa, gym and pool facilities were truly luxurious and good value.
The gym was excellent along with the pool, steam room, sauna and general facilities.
The gym was OK, although the jacuzzi was a bit disappointing (it is very large, but there are only very few spots from where water comes out in extremely powerful jets - not so good for my kidney stones, unfortunately!

The hotel has a lovely entrance and lobby - the staff were polite, nice, clean rooms.

The rooms are very spacious and graced with many personal touches - sculpted orchid arrangements, fresh fruit platters, delicious nibblies and even a welcome card from the Manager.
Room was just wonderful with fresh cut flowers and champagne.
