Hyatt Regency Acapulco

The location was nice & the food was okay.

Best location on the beach, the hotel really wasn't that bad and the lobby bar has good music in the evening.

The only down fall the Hyatt has is the water is not as clear as on the other side of the bay but the location is in the newer part of town and the surrounding are more updated then the poorer side of town.

They do not know what the cost of taxi's are or what buses to take to get to where you want to go.

Wed not recommend going in rainy seaosn, We were there while this hurricane settled out in the sea and there was just too much rain & flooded streets to the airport but we made it out.

There were two beds in my room, one was a normal double bed, the other was a short king size bed--I am only 5 ft 6 in.

The bathroom was a little disappointing as it was small with only one sink and a very cramped toilet/bath/shower room.

The large bedroom was, again, properly furnished - king bed with carved headboard, armoire with minibar and TV, desk and chair, bedside tables and lamps and a very large closet with a safe and plenty of hangers.

In one of the rooms (we were a party of 2 of rooms) the TV was a 12 inch, impossible to see from the distance where the bed was, also the cable failed every minute making it very annoying to try to watch TV.

Dirty rooms and bathrooms, cockroach in ice cube, badly furnished, no safe, no minibar, picture on tv very bad, no in-room menu.

We ate in all of the restaurants, the Mexican one in the basement was delicious, the outdoor restaurant was average, and the breakfast buffet didn't really impress me all that much.

The Quality of food and drinks is terrible in all it's restaurants and lobby bar, also expensive for what you get and practically every day is the same thing if you get the buffet.

We ate lunch twice at the Pescador restaurant on the beach and had great service but the food was only so-so.

What surprised us more was that their food was actually quite good (In Cancun, the Gran Melia's restaurants served bland meals).

We ate at all three restaurants and found the food to be very good.

Staff members (front desk, concierge, waiters, spa, and housekeeping) were very friendly and accomodating.

The location was wonderful for us, hotel staff were attentive and the maid service was excellent.

The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, including the maids, the front desk, the travel agent, the waiters at their restaurant Pancho y Villa y Compania, and the bellboys.

Front desk personnel were always very helpful during our stay and the concierge, Luis Antonio was extremely helpful.

I’m not sure what was going on with the people who complained about slow elevators, but we stayed on the 22nd floor and never had to wait for the elevator for more than about minute.

Lobby extremely crowded during check in, which took long, queues of 50-70 people in front of elevators.

The property was kept very clean, we always saw someone sweeping up outside near the pool and inside the main lobby.

The bathroom was also large and spotless, the food was great, pools were very well maintained.

The room was clean and huge, the food was good.

Our floor was very quiet and the room was always kept clean.

A wonderful staff is all over the lobby area willing, the rooms are clean and drinks are a buy one get one free.

The hotel staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean.
