  The location is excellent being on Universal drive but backing onto to the nicer part of International Drive. A car isn't essential as you can catch the trolley bus on either Universal and International drives. Other hotels next to the Hyatt are Extended Stay Deluxe, Homewood Suites and Springfield studios - all looked good. The pool area is a bit small bit pleasant enough. The staff are very helpful and all try their hardest to ensure that your stay is worry free and pleasant.

  It's easy to get in and out of, within a short drive of the convention center, within a short walk of several great restaurants and only a couple of minutes from two of the major highways to get around central Florida. The highlights of course are 24 hour dining, and of course the 42" plasma TV in EVERY room. Compared to other hotels in this price range in Orlando, this place is definitely a huge value. The bathroom is cramped and uncomfortable. The staff was not as friendly as I'm used to in Hyatt Place.

  There's no better location in Orlando than International Drive. The Hyatt Place Convention Center is right in the I-Drive and near all sorts of excellent restaurants. The hotel rooms are absolutely fabulous with the suite stile. There's a huge TV which you can enjoy either in your bed or in the living room. Since I had an early flight, I called the hotel from the airport and they let me check in at 9:00 am! The staff is absolutely great and very willing to serve you in all your needs. To add more to the pleasant stay, they had this great complimentary buffet at the lobby area.

  The hotel itself is very nice from the lobby to the rooms!

  Our sheets on the bed were not changed from the previouse guest because there was black long hair and feathers on the sheets.

  Stayed here for 4 nights and paid a comparable rate to the Springhill Suites almost next door (see separate review) - and that was where the comparison ends. The hotel lobby staff were great and always welcomed you with a smile and a hello - the lobby area and hotel rooms look modern, clean and stylish - there is a 24 hour food/drinks service available via touch screen computer in the lobby area, starbucks coffee, beer and wine is available for purchase. The gym, though very small, had fantastic modern cardio machines with built in tv screens. Oh - and the rooms had amazing 42 inch plasma televisions which hubby fell in love with and wanted to take home! I would definitely stay here again but if you are looking to lounge around an attractive pool during the day this is probably not the place for you.

• Our stay was quite pleasant, and the professional, courteous nature of the staff is noteworthy. After three calls to the front desk we were finally informed that housekeeping had gone home for the day, and that a staff member would bring up clean towels. That said, our room, when tended to, was made up immaculate, and the rest of the facility was also spotless and pristine. In all, we enjoyed the modern/fresh decor, complementary extras mentioned above, but, we were somewhat dismayed with the breakfast, and truant housekeeping staff.

  The breakfast buffet was rather lacking in selection however, and toast coupled with lukewarm tea/coffee gets old very quickly.

  Rooms are luxurious ---amazing TV (flat screen panel HDTV 42").

  Room rate was quoted to another guest as $139 a night, which isn't bad, considering the amenities. This past weekend, when we were parked just two blocks away at TGIFridays, our car was broken into --- window completely smashed!

  Left with no reservations over spring break, we drove up to the Hyatt Place on International drive. The staff were extremely friendly and were accommodating to our predicament. They did not hesitate when I asked to see a room before purchasing. It had a large sectional pull out sofa and two full-sized beds to handle our family of five. The only downside was that the bathroom was a little small. The staff was very helpful and proffessional. The lobby had 2 internet available computers with a printer so I could print out boarding passes.

• Maintenance and service was extremely lacking at this hotel. Our room, although fairly new looking, had a broken bathroom door, the toilet ran constantly, and the coffee maker did not work. It was supposed to be available to all guests until 10:00am, but when we arrived, all we found were a lot of irritated people, and a buffet area that had not been attended to in some time. It’s a real shame too, because even though the hotel did not look that old, its already falling apart do to the poor staff attitude and poor maintenance.

• However, being set back it is quiet. The rooms were clean and tidy.
