In a quiet location, beautiful countryside setting and charming buildings.

The hotel is lovely, well looked after and in a style that perfectly fits the location.

The location of this property is lovely and the hotel is in a beautiful rural setting.

We were upgraded to a junior suite which was a room large enough to be both sitting room and bedroom provided with TWO bathrooms, one a shower room, the other with bath, both with lavatories.

As an ex-pat still homesick for England and all things English, Hunstrete House gave me a massive dose of English country house; our junior double room had a four-poster bed and views out over the wintry English parkland with its herd of deer.

The staff in general are excellent and going to bed on a full stomach wasnt pleasant.

Wonderful big bed, breakfast fine and has really lovely gardens.

We climbed the wooden hill and enjoyed a nightcap whilst watching the deer park which was in clear view of our bedroom window, then slept the deepest, most delicious sleep we have had in ages.

The room service was very good and attentive, the food options particularly at breakfast were fantastic.

Excellent breakfast Would not hesitate to recommend Hunstrete.

The food was excellent and dinner was fabulous.

The food is good also and the French manager is a charming bloke.

Shower was powerful, the food was wonderful and dinner was very good.

The service provided by all staff was very friendly and could not be faulted.

And anyone who understands old country houses will know that these houses are like the Forth Bridge - as soon as you finish decorating, the first room you did needs doing again so, of course, there will always be decor which needs attention, but these things are trifling compared to the genuine warmth of the staff, the impeccable service and attention to detail.

Part of a chain with many grand places it is suitably impressive in a lovely location and the staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, particularly Sarah on reception.

The place was wonderful - set in large open grounds and the service provided by all staff was very friendly.

Overall a very pleasant stay coloured by one member of staff, the service was excellent and we were absolutely delighted by our beautiful corner room.

incredible value for money and the service & friendliness of staff was excellent.

The walled garden was a quiet spot to read.

    Fantastic surroundings and peaceful, the adjacent deer park was pretty cool for a city slicker like me. Additionally our stay was excellent, this was the perfect venue and we found the staff delightful. Shower was powerful, the food was wonderful and dinner was very good. The walled garden was a quiet spot to read.

    Lovely surroundings, everything is very historical in this hotel and hunstrete House is beautiful. The staff in general are excellent and going to bed on a full stomach wasnt pleasant. The food is good also and the French manager is a charming bloke.

    Very nice site and the hotel is extremely comfortable. The house is beautiful, service to be very good and other public rooms are cosy and inviting. Excellent breakfast Would not hesitate to recommend Hunstrete.

    Not the most amazing view and the hotel is set within absolutely fabulous peaceful surroundings. The staff could not have been more helpful or friendly, two lovely window seats looking out over the garden.

    Awful music being played during breakfast-would have preferred silence and dinner is a little expensive.
