Hudson Hotel Edinburgh - 爱丁堡

Fantastic location; very close to the rather classy George Street and the ever popular Princes Street.

The location is also really good - really close to Princes Street and to many bars/restaurants on the streets behind it.

A great hotel in a superb location, very close to all the hubub of town yet in a quiet area away from road noise or passing revellers.

Also very close to one of the Airport's Express' bus stops in and out of the city.

From the airport it was a 25 minute bus ride (?

The Hudson was nicely decorated, very contemporary rooms, with huge beds and we counted 13 pillows on our bed!

That was MUCH better - large room with sofa, massive comfy bed, big flatscreen TV on the wall right in front of the bed, big bathroom and facing the street so actually a lot quieter with no noise from the bottle-emptying.

Queen size bed, very little floor space, room was lovely decorated, but very very cramped, so much so I had no-where to put the suitcase.

After the after shopping we went back to the hotel to see if our room was ready, on entry we were greeted with chocolates and fruit basket and a huge 42" plasma that opened up at the bottom of the bed.

On entry to our room, white marks scattered the bed clothes, of which we chose not to investigate further but to have the receptionist change them immediatly!

I really like the restaurant/bar there and enjoyed the food.

Weak points: slightly scuffed look to the fixtures and fittings; random piped music in the corridors; the lack of a separate breakfast room meaning you're sharing the bar with lager drinkers; service that needs more direction.

The nightlife of nearby George Street is great with the restaurant/bar of the Tiger Lily Hotel being a must to visit.

We didn't have breakfast or go in the bar so can't comment on them.

We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the food.

Great service the entire time from the people at the front desk to the restaurant.

We arrived on the early flight from Manchester and dropped our bags off with the extremely helpful staff on reception before partaking of a Bloody Mary (me) and Bucks Fizz (her) to set us up for the day.

Excellent location, room good atmosphere in bar dinner good staff very friendly and the girl on reception was very helpful.

The location was good, the hotel bar was busy and lively, the reception staff were very helpful.

Also got parked in Charlotte Square 2 minutes walk away on the Saturday night which meant that we were parked up for free parking all night and all the following day!

Although parking was a few blocks away in a municipal lot, it seemed safe and as a woman, I was comfortable walking from the parking lot back to the hotel after dark.

Four of our party were stuck in the lift for 40 mins very early this morning.

Furthermore staff very helpful, room clean and the bar serves a delicious.

Staff were really friendly, the room was very clean and good blackout curtains kept the light out in the morning.

The Hudson Hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly and the design of the room was very modern.

Pillows were good, the bathtub was quite big and clean.

The hotel rooms are very modern, comfortable and very clean.
