Hotel Zum Storchen Zurich - 苏黎世

The location is superb, is located accross the Limat from the old town amd in easy walking distance of shops and the hotel staff is very dedicated to good service.

Excellent location next to river, right in the middle of Zurich's old town and chestnut vendor nearby – roasted chestnuts are amazing.

Excellent romantic location and discreet, good quality of sleeping, well trained multi lingual staff.

Easiest and fastest way to get there from ZRH airport is to get the train on the bottom level of the airport taking you into the main Zurich station (Bahnhof-Main) and then take a cab the remaining mile.

Upon arrival at the Zurich airport, our driver was waiting in the arrivals area with a sign.

Though the bed in the single room was too small for two persons to nap (our departure flight is at 11pm), we couldn't have ask for more, I thought.

The single room was TINY with the bed being right up against the wall and with the dresser on the other wall, I could almost reach both sides of the room with my arms stretched out.

The room that I was in was very modern, with flat screen tv, internet connection, and a huge bath!

Storchen's guest rooms are all tiny, but the location is right on the river in a very quiet cobblestoned area of small shops and residences called the "Old City.

We ate at two restaurants recommended by the hotel - Zeughauskeller in the Old Town (less than 2 minutes from the hotel) and Ristorante Napoli, an Italian restaurant about a 10 minute from the hotel by cab.

Restaurant Brassarie serves great dinner and nice breakfast buffet(swiss style).

Wonderful 5th floor room private, the bar is a warm and the food as good as we remembered.

Salvatore the concierge was a real gem and the staff at the front desk always greeted us by name after the first morning.

Front of house staff were excellent and attentive, service was fantastic.

Also, there are only a couple of employees working at any given time, so the front desk can get quite busy and you have to wait.

In addition, you can also access internet free of charge at the lobby internet station.

Housekeeping would have ironed clothing for us, but we just decided to stay a bit wrinkled.

Our room was spacious, very clean with brathtaking view of the river and the city.

Comfortable rooms, very nice food and upon returning late in the afternoon to clean up for dinner.
