Hotel Zum Ritter Saint Georg Heidelberg - 海德堡

I guess you're paying for the history and location; the hotel has been around for hundreds of years, is one of the only buildings to survive the destruction of the town, and is located on the central square in the pedestrian zone.

The location is perfect and located in a great spot in the heart of the Old Town of Heidelberg.

The location is absolutely perfect if you want to do the usual touristy old town things, and while we were there (December), there was a Christmas Market right outside.

It is in the best location there can be in the middle of the old town area and building itself dates back to the 1500s.

It is a really pretty building, laced in history and location is superb.

The room we had was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and we felt the bedsprings.

I even asked the desk clerk to make sure that there hadn't been a mix-up, that we had mistakenly been given one of the standard rooms: he assured me that we were in the nicest "superior" room in the hotel.

We were in a standard room towards the back of the building which, if unexceptional, was perfectly adquate to our needs: they have more expensive rooms if you want more luxury.

Clean rooms, restocked every day, chocs on pillow and bathroom freebees.

Our room was huge, very tall ceilings and a great sized bathroom.

The hotel's own restaurant is highly recommended, they served delicious food, although their breakfast was horrible.

The lovely breakfast in the charming lobby/dining room and helpful staff.

The Sunday breakfast brunch at Cafe Journal is both great.

We did not stay at this hotel but we had the opportunity to try its restaurant which was excellent.

I recommend trying this restaurant for sure.

The front desk staff was helpful enough, but a bit severe and cold in their speaking manner - very abrupt and cold.

I didn't require TLC from the staff, but they were helpful when I asked for a map and to tell me where the bus stop to get back to the train station was.

Fantastic old building right in the middle of the old town and exceptionally welcoming and friendly staff.

Parking is quite a long walk away in a public garage.

You can drop your bags at the front door before parking the car (if you don’t mind driving on mostly pedestrian streets.

If you have a car, don't try to drive to the hotel--just park at an old town parking lot and ask for directions.

When I called downstairs asking about how to get Wi-Fi the front-desk attendant who answered the phone responded coldly "I am not the Internet person.

Extremely helpful staff, clean rooms and the restaurant looks quite nice.

The staff was very helpful, the room we had was clean.

Clean rooms, excellent food and because of the birthday 2 free bottles of German sec.

The bathroom was clean as well and functional.
