Nevertheless Villa Del Sogno is a splendid hotel offering high standards of service with prices to match.
The view of the lake is spectacular and the hotel itself is excellent.

It isn't cheap , it lacks mod cons (no LCD TVs) and the location is quiet but I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

While the terrace was large, the room itself was very tight-- barely room to maneuver around the bed and terrible lighting for reading.
The room was nicely decorated in period style and a large traditional bathtub was the order of the day.
The bathroom was amply supplied with high quality toiletries along with bath robes and slippers.
Perhaps wouldn't do that again only due to the amount of time it took in the mornings in the bathroom and there was only a tub and not a shower.

The surroundings are amazing, few hotels can offer such a wonderful setting for dining and the large terrace off the bar/restaurant is handsomely decorated.

There is a classy pool area and a lovely terrace for drinks and dinner.
The hotel is set in several acres of splendid grounds and there is a decent sized open air swimming pool around which lunch may be taken - weather permitting.
The pool area, recently refurbished, was perfect.
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, our superior room was sufficient - clean.
