The name of the Hotel Unique says it all. The awe inspiring and breathtaking design of seminal architect Ruy Othake of this hotel, a point of reference in the Sao Paolo skyline is reason enough to make the trip to stay in it. Truly a seamless amalgamation of nightclub, singles bar and hotel: from the cool and trendy lobby sporting soaring windows to the fabulous rooftop restaurant overlooking the red lit pool where the jet set mingles, all packaged in a copper boat like edifice with porthole windows, this hotel is a veritable treat to the senses. And of course, special mention must be made to the rooms, sporting hard wood floors ascending into curved walls adorned by plasma-TVs.

The hotel was architecturally stunning and beautiful, the staff were always gracious and helpful, money went missing after my room was cleaned. The great rooftop bar made up for the lack of walkable restaurants.
