Hotel Umbra Assisi - 阿西西

Great location, the proximity of the hotel to all the best places to visit in Assisi is amazing - the hotel is located right in the center of the city.

The hotel is situated at the end of a short alley running off the main square in Assisi, so the location is perfect.

Located in the center, it was an ideal location and fair price for Italy.

We had kindly asked them to arrange a taxi from Perugia airport which they did with great efficiency.

We had a car which we parked in the Matteotti underground carpark, using a special access/discount card given to us by the signora at the hotel.

Our room #21 was quiet, clean and cozy with a comfortable bed, and had a small terrace/balcony and private bath with tub/shower.

In addition to a "letto matrimoniale" (in this case, two doubles pushed together) we had a private bathroom and a separate small "living room"-type area with an armchair and a single bed.

The rooms were semi-modern, very comfortable, very clean, excellent beds, excellent decor and the bathrooms had very modern plumbing.

The only drawback was a worn-out bed, but the bathroom facilities are updated and the breakfast is super nice.

Our room was spacious and had a nice bathroom with a window which had a great view as did the two windows in our room.

Additionally room we had was a little worn, we dined in the restaurant - good food/value breakfast was excellent.

Breakfast was OK as was meal taken in the restaurant.

The hotel has a restaurant which I did not make use of but it was absolutely gorgeous, we walked through it in the mornings to get to the breakfast room.

The hotels restaurant looked liked the food was good, but lacked atmoshere.

Breakfast was good, but the jewel of the crown is having dinner al fresco in the gorgeous garden.

Also the staff is great - they do not speak english very well, all rooms seem to be quiet too and helpful waitress to take good care of you.

Central location, the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful, staff were excellent.

Service was excellent and the roof-top balcony were amazing.

The lovely view from our balcony, good value and staff was extremely friendly.

There is a shuttle bus from the parking lot down to the town square.

Parking is a hassle (10 minute walk) but it's worth it to be in the middle of everything.

We parked about 10 minutes away in the parking lot next to the train station.

I was shown to my room, it was clean and fresh.

The room, on the first floor, was large, very comfortable, spotless, with plenty of light, and very tranquil (despite being so close to the main square).

My room was not very clean and I discovered insects (small black beetles) walking on the walls, ceiling, floor and MY PILLOW during the second night - yes, unfortunately, it was the second night!
