• We had a large 2 roomed suite, for 5 ,with 3 double beds, beds very comfortable & everthing very clean. Shower was handheld over bath & would have been easier if wall mounted An extra mirror would have helped ( 5 girls & only 2 mirrors! We found all the staff very helpful & polite; breakfast was in cellar, predominantly continental ( breads, ham, cheese, cakes,toast ,yoghurt, fruit, eggs, & plenty of it.

  The location was excellent, and the hotel was clean, however we felt that we didn't get the value we would look for in a 200 euro and more/per night hotel. The rooms were large, but the furniture extremely old and uncomfortable.

  We were there in December and the heat was not working when we arrived, and once functioning, it did not work well enough to heat the whole room.

  The main advantage of this hotel is its location - it's on the street that connects the Charles Bridge to the Castle. In addition, the staff are friendly, we found the hotel to be quiet and clean, and it's not very expensive. Also, the rooms are incredibly spacious - we booked a twin room, which turned out to be a two-bedroomed apartment (but without a kitchen). For example, our room just had a bath with a showerhead, rather than a shower over the bath.

  We booked 2 bedroom suite facing the street; bathroom and toilets both in excellent condition, but: there were few huge stains on the carpet right in the middle of the living room, furniture was old, and - believe it or not -bed covers had holes in them, not mentioning quality of linens! However, staff was very helpful and polite.

  This Hotel is a way overpriced, if you compare to other 4**** hotels all around Europe.

  Stayed at the U Brany for 3 nights in a huge 2 bedroom apartment for the 4 of us which cost EUR 130 through Wotif. Great location, quite area next to the Royal Castle and about a pleasant 15 minute walk to the main square.

  We had a suite for 8 days - 2 bedrooms/living room and bath. Staff in resturant downstairs very helpful but at times music from bar was quite loud - the first night there was a wedding party celebrating into the wee hours of the morning - not what weary travelers needed to hear. The next morning the staff (and the wedding party) were very apologetic about the previous evenings activities. Right down the street from a tram station - great resturants in the square and at both ends of the street.

  Breakfast was a little boring after day 2 of the same things.

  I booked 6 rooms at the U Brany and we were all very pleased with the price and hotel, some of the rooms were enormous apartment-sized rooms. The street was bustling with life in the day but lovely and quiet at night-time, although some of our guests mentioned the noise of church bells but that added to the magical atmosphere of beautiful Prague. The hotel was clean and staff were very efficient and friendly.

  We had a deluxe room, with a small entrance hall, bathroom, a separate big living room and a bedroom. Breakfast was nice and plentiful though nothing special. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we would stay at this hotel again. All guests have free internet access in the entrance lobby. The restaurant food wasn't brilliant but convenient on our first evening, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area.

  It is an ideal location if you prefer a quiter, less-touristy and less noisy area (the other side of the old town can be quite noisy and full of tourists).

  The building dates back to the 1400's but the rooms have ll recently been refurbished. Our room had an entrance hall off which was the separate bathroom and WC. The bedroom was spacious and had lots of cupboard and drwer space. We also had cable TV and direct dial phones.

  It ws a hot buffet breakfast nd there was plenty of choice.

  This time we choose the two bedroom suite on the 2nd floor with a balcony over the courtyard. The rooms were very clean with a large bathroom. Once again, for your money you can not find a better hotel in such a great location!
