I had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Unzenonsen. the location was superb - just a short walk from the sulphurous steam and boiling streams of Unzen Hell. It was so convenient to explore this unique attraction. Secondly, the onsen on the top floor was absolutely delightful. I loved that there were both indoor and outdoor baths with stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lake. It was the perfect way to relax and unwind after a day of sightseeing. Lastly, the buffet dinner was a highlight. The variety of choices was impressive, and I particularly enjoyed the freshly fried tempura. It was a great dining experience!
All in all, my stay at this hotel was wonderful, with no major issues.

This hotel offers incredible value for money. The pricing policy may seem a bit different, but it's actually quite affordable, especially considering the attention to detail in the rooms. The tatami area adds a touch of traditional Japanese charm, and the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The location is also great, being close to the center of the small village.
All aspects of this hotel were more than satisfactory.

Nothing all excellent.

Located in the center of a small village, this hotel offers easy access to nearby cafes, restaurants, a mini-mart, and Unzen Jigoku. The onsen on the top floor offers mountain and lake views, and there are ample Yukata to choose from for dinner. The fresh tempura at dinner is a must-try.
One of the rooms on floor 1 near the volcano had an issue with sulphur fumes making it unpleasant to breathe overnight.

Located close to the center of a quaint village, this hotel provides easy access to cafes, restaurants, and local attractions, making it an ideal base for exploration. Sydney
The hotel had an old-fashioned charm that made the stay feel authentic. The buffet breakfast and dinner were varied, with many options to choose from. The hotel's location was convenient, allowing for easy access to nearby cafes, restaurants, and mini-marts.
The hotel was quite large, and it took some time to familiarize oneself with the layout. Additionally, guests should be prepared for a lack of free WiFi outside of the lobby area.

The onsen was a nice addition to the hotel, but unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy it as it was mixed-gender. the size of the room was decent and comfortable for us. We appreciated the friendly service from the personnel too.
The hotel did not meet our expectations. The facilities were outdated and not well-maintained, which made the hotel feel quite creepy.

Nothing.
