Hotel Top Olympic Calella

The hotel is in a good location easy walking to beach and shops and super market very close by.

Good location for beach, the hotel is very easy to find and the staff are all friendly enough your frienly to them.

The hotel is in an ideal location as it is only 5 mins walk to either the beach or the town centre.

We all had to get a taxi to airport - Cost 60 euros, the hotel staff didn't give a toss though!

Forgot to mention that the airport transfer didn't turn up & we had to get a taxi whose driver drove like a maniac resulting in an accident.

The room was spotlessly clean as was the bed linen, towels and bathroom.

They are very old and the bath was mouldy, the toilet seat was broken, the bedding did not fit the bed and every time you turned over the sheet ended up in a heap.

The hotel rooms are so small, and when fully occuppied one bed is inches away from the wardrobe and the other inches away from patio doors, and that's with all four beds pushed together.

The hotel put us on the 7th floor with 2 small children in a room which i can only describe as a prison cell, they had squeezed four beds into a two bed room so you couldn`t get to the wardrobe or get on the balcony without a great struggle.

Our room was absolutely tiny with three beds crammed in, we had to move a bed every time we wanted to open the balcony door, there was blood in our beds, cigarette burns all other the sheets and our curtain was held together with duct tape.

The breakfast was fantastic, lovely food and so much to eat and the evening meal was ok.

You can't take drinks from the bar down to the restaurant but there is a bar in there where Beer, wine and soft drinks are freely available.

The reception staff were cheerfull so were most of the restaurant and cleaning staff, although the bar staff were pretty miserable.

The bar staff were very nice but the staff in the restaurant were not very nice, always seemed to rush you after dinner & didn't like you sitting at the tables that they have just laid!

There are also plenty of bar/restaurants to stuff you face with more local not very far from the hotel.

The Olympic didn’t have any gym facilities but you could use the Calella Palace hotel’s gym (the next hotel across), sauna and spa, which were basic.

The room was pleasent enough although we were on the fifth floor and there was only one main lift to fit ten and two lifts which can only fit three people each.

Had a lovely view from our balcony of the pool.

Food was of enough variety to keep the children happy, the hotel was clean and the hotel bedrooms were kept tidy by the friendly staff.

The rooms were clean and tidy, ok a little small but its a place to sleep in thats it!

On arrival, we were given 7th floor, and the room was clean and tidy.

The hotel food was good pool's clean as was the room's and staff were very helpful.

The reasonably sized bathroom was clean and the food was great.
