Hotel Top Amaika Calella

The location was really handy being so close to Barcalona and the transport links were fabulous and on time!

Calella is a lovely old Spanish town and location is excellent - five minutes from the beach.

We were not allone in the above assesment as on an evening most people you spoke to were of a similar opinion,it really is a shame because this hotel could be up there with the best with its decor,cleanliness,friendly staff and nice location.

It's underground as it's also a Metro station, but it's the centre of the city.

Airport transfer i would book when you book in the UK it seems cheaper than an airport taxi.

Bathroom had a bath and shower and room was cleaned every day with care and attention (We found the maid moving the beds to clean beneath on a few occasions!

The Accommodation was very clean and tidy, with maid service every day, and most bathrooms have a shower cubicle and a shower over the bath so that a couple could use the bathroom together.

The rooms were very clean, we had a bath and seperate shower, the rooms were cleaned and beds made every day, sheets changed 3 times in 7 days.

The rooms & indeed the whole hotel was spotlessly clean & we were surprised to get not only a bath but a shower cubicle in each bathroom also.

We came back yesterday with our two small sons, and had a great time, room was huge and easily accomodated a double bed and two singles, with plenty of room.

Drinks were not available in the dining room outside of the set Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner but you could bring these up from the bar.

Because of the late nights watching the entertainment, the children slept in and missed breakfast, but this was never a problem, as there is always snacks etc available in the restaurant.

Waiters served drinks to the table in the restaurant, which meant there was no queueing at the bar at mealtimes.

Staff are very trained and friendly in the bar and restaurant.

As we arrived at 22-40 we were having a snack in the restaurant at 23-10 & then finished the night with free drinks at the Bar until midnight.

The staff were extremely busy and kept the service going well all evening, considering the queue went nearly to reception at times!

I am particularly grateful to the British services in the resort and to the hotel reception staff: great job: thumbs up!

We booked to visit Santa Susanna, the bus didn't turn up to take us, or pick us up to bring us home, although once again amazing service from the Amaika reception staff who organised and paid for taxis to get us there and back.

The restaurant decor was lovely, the staff there were absolutley fantastic and the rooms I found were clean maid service good.

The hotel had nightly entertainment if that's your thing, gym and sauna too.

We used the sauna and jacuzzi facilities and would reccomend to anybody, very nice to have exclusive use for an hour, very relaxing and the hotel provide fresh towels.

00 per person & that included car parking & car hire!

Hotel very clean, the staff were friendly and courteous, rooms were spotless.

The rooms are clean in fact all of the hotel is spotless.

Our room was fresh and clean, food was very good.

On the whole a fantastic hotel, very pleasant staff and room was good - clean.

The hotel was one of the best we have stayed at, the staff were all very friendly and the room was very very clean.
