I would still recommend this hotel if you can get a good deal, but not at the price we paid.
While the location is a short walk from 16th Street mall - I think it is much nicer to be located at the Teatro which is only a few steps from the theatre district and Lamier street!
This is a wonderful hotel with a fantastic location (the Denver Center for Performing is right across the street)!
Perfect location, large, comfortable rooms, a great place to unwind and relax in downtown Denver and enjoy a glass of wine while sitting under the mountaintops.
From the airport the cab ride is 50 dollars.
The vehicle was out but I was told that if it wasn't back soon, they would pay for me to take a cab!
Room was like a mini-suite: bed, desk, entertainment center, sofa, coffee table, and huge bathroom with shower and bath.
The room was beautiful, large, and very tastefully appointed with contemporary furniture, lighting, and art, a very comfortable bed with premium linens, a TV offering a huge range of first-run movies, minibar, and a splendid desk and work area.
The room had high ceilings (which probably helped the small room look bigger) with a standard bed, good air conditioning system and a TV with lots of channels (no basic cable here).
We had a small suite with a bedroom, living room and two full baths.
The staff is great, the room (two queen size beds) was large, the bathroom was, as mentioned in previous reviews, one of the highlights (incredibly deep whirlpool tub, terrific shower, Aveda products).
The food was terrific in the bar, I had both breakfast and lunch.
I ate at only 1 of the restaurants, Enoteca, for lunch, and the food and service were very good.
The hotel's restaurant is great for breakfast, and the name restaurant, "Kevin Taylor," is great for dinner.
While I have not taken advantage of the bar/restaurants on site, I can say that the rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable.
Superb room service and breakfast, both courtesy of Kevin Taylor's kitchens; his eponymous restaurant is part of the hotel.
We found the bell staff, housekeeping and front desk staff to deliver a high level of service.
Shortly after checking in the concierge called our room inquiring if we needed anything (reservations, recommendations, car service, etc.
The desk personnel, the concierge, the bell captains, the office staff, and housekeeping were always ready and eager to serve.
Wonderful staff, superb service, book the corner room for views and loads of room, huge baths, excellent maid service, etc.
Whenever I saw another guest in the lobby or joining me in the elevator friendly conversation or smiles were exchanged.
Convenient walking distance to the best parts of Denver, and a shuttle available if you need a ride.
The lobby is small with tasteful, modern style and expected displays of theater pieces.
