I could go on about the hotel but all I will say is for the price we paid it was value for money.
Freshly remodeled in August, the hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the old town, the Swiss/French Train station, and the Tram lines (a day pass for local public transportation is included in the price).
A very nice hotel, superb price-performance and free Internet at the computers in the lobby.
Don't let that put you off from booking here though, it's probably one of the best hotels in the city and for a price that is more than good too, in a relatively expensive city to eat and shop in.
Perfectly located near the train station, excellent location and one of the few times i had the feeling that i got more than i expected from staying in a hotel.
Very central location and very well located just a few steps from the bus.
The location is the first thing you notice, it's right next to the SBB, the main train station which serves Switzerland and France.
Trams to all parts of the city from outside the hotel-- rail station 100 metres-same distance for the bus to the airport, and yes if in Basel again, I would stay at this hotel.
The free transport ticket for the duration of the stay was a welcome bonus,including free transport from the airport and return.
Staff are very helpful and friendly, the maids do a wonderful job, clean and has a huge bed even in a single-room.
A few rooms with balconies (quite important to us disgusting but diligent smokers) - ours was room 102, which was a good size with a separate loo and bathroom.
Had a few issues with the double bed - very small and the top sheet/blanket was not wide enough to cover the bed without any one in it.
You may not want to stay here if you have a bad back as the bed was very bouncy (it was a foam mattress, no inner springs) and the pillows were awfully thin.
The nice reception, spacious room and free mini bar.
While the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, breakfast is included and a full bar and snack items are available 24 hours a day.
Convenient for the rail station, the mobility ticket is very useful especially in cities like Basel and food was typical of other hotels breakfast is included.
There is no dining room in the hotel but there is a Chinese restaurant in the same building and an excellent reasonably-priced restaurant "La Brasserie" in the RR station.
Next to that again is another restaurant, but its more pricey but the food is great and the waitresses are really helpful.
There are easily 100 restaurants of all price ranges within a 1/2 mile radius.
Moreover reception-staff was very pleasant and the internet connection was good.

If you have a car, there is easy access to the freeway and free parking - at the hotel - is a significant benefit in terms of cost and time savings.
Swiss quality is proverbial in hotels, staff are exceptional and reliable high speed wireless internet etc.
The staff is very helpful and the room is very clean.
Also excellent hotel close to the main train station, the male staff member didn't seem to interested in and plenty of space in the rooms are spotlessly clean.
Our room was great -- very large, clean and well appointed.
