Hotel Sacher Salzburg - 萨尔茨堡

Great location in between old and new towns and close to shops and sights.

This hotel is in a central location and everything is in walking distance.

Great location for site seeing, shopping and restaurants.

Took a taxi from the airport and paid 13 euros - we think the driver milked the route a bit.

A taxi to the train station will cost 7-8 euros.

We had one of the "standard" rooms (as did the other couple we were travelling with) and were delighted by its size, the furniture and fittings, and the suberb bed and pillows.

The bed, and room overall, was very comfortable, clean, and pleasant.

We arrived in the evening and the bed was turned down in our room and chocolate on our pillow which occured every night after.

The rooms were fantastic - the bed was extremely comfortable and I was tempted to take the pillows home with me.

The first night we stayed here when we came back into the room at night we found the bed had been turned down and a small sacher torte cake was on each of the pillows accompanied with slippers at the side of the bed.

The food was out of this world, with a choice of three different restaurants, and the breakfast was a buffet with everything you could possible want catered for.

The breakfast buffet was also outstanding and included in the price of the room They also recommended a fabulous restaurant in the old town that was great food and atmosphere and less expensive.

The hotel was beautiful, the location was perfect and the buffet breakfast was very well stocked with classic European Breakfast Cuisine.

Whatsmore, breakfasts was served in one of their best docorated restaurants, the Roter Saloon.

You do need plenty of money for the restaurants, coffee shop etc but that can be said about Salzburg in general and believe me it is well worth the money, you will be spoilt and pampered if you choose this hotel.

Service; flawless and everyone from the bellman, to the concierge, to the restaurant staff greeted me by name every day.

The reception staff especially the head receptionist was excellent.

The service staff at the Sacher is very good.

Service by the entire staff was exceptional.

The lobby area is relatively small and noticeably smoky.

The elevators were shockingly small, and our party plus the porter just fit.

The health club in the basement is nice and there is a small steam, sauna & gigantic waterfall shower.

The room was spacious, nicely furnished, and very clean.

The bathroom was well-equipped and very clean.

We booked through American Express so we were given a complimentary upgrade from a standard room to a deluxe room (fine hotels and resorts rate), a welcome gift (sacher torte, fresh fruit and chocolates) and breakfast for 2.
