Hotel Rocce Sarde San Pantaleo

Great location and overall this hotel is a good quality.

The only 2 negative things I would say are that you will need a car as the hotel is in quite a remote location and also that it is not cheap.

The hotel is about 20 minutes drive from Olbia airport, and sits in the granite hills about 10 minutes from the coast and a few minutes drive from San Pataleo village.

Great location, beautiful and peacful setting, friendly staff, basic clean rooms with wonderful views (we had a suite with sofa bed for children and terrace overlooking bay ) Food (other than breakfast) good.

Our room was fairly basic ,but adequate with Air con, ceiling fan,bathroom with shower(no bath) bidet.

2007 as a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 6&4 staying in a 2 bed apartment in their residence.

The room we had was smaller than the one we had a couple of years ago, which was not a problem, but the smell in the bath room coming out of the water conduits was horrible, and it was quite noisy as it was near the reception.

Our room was simply furnished but clean and linens and towels changed daily.

The rate / quality relation was excellent, the food was outstanding from a breakfast buffet with champagne and any extras for free to absolutely delicious cuisine for dinner.

However, on the other days the evening meals in the main dining area (which included an enclosed terrace restaurant with good views) were superb with a choice of about 4 items for each of the 4 courses.

The food is good and always left the restaurant full but we would rather have fewer courses and more choice than the few options and four courses offered.

The food was good, delicious & plentiful breakfast and huge 4 course dinners every night.

Lovely pool bar serving cocktails and the air conditioning also worked well.

The stay turned out to be very enjoyable and the reception staff are always pleasant.

All food was ordered and served at the table, and we usually found the service to be acceptably quick by helpful and plentiful staff.

The staff at Rocce Sarde are great, the guys by the pool and the reception staff are always pleasant and had a good giggle at my husband trying to remember his room number in Italian but they were grateful for the effort!

Very welcoming receptionist and pool staff - other staff members not overly friendly.

The hotel is well maintained, swimming pool and garden are extremely pleasant areas and often fairly quiet even in high season.

The apartments (10 in total) are very clean and spacious and nicley furnished with a beautiful view of the coast, garden and smallish swimming pool.

A good choice away from the crowds, the pool is great.

First with the plus points - rooms are clean and comfy, the staff are excellent, very friendly and helpful and the setting of the hotel carved out amongst the granite mountains is truly spectacular.
