Rendevous is located at a good location close to orchad road, China Town.

Hotel is a centrally located to most attractions and the consierge was very helpful with bus schedules, possible taxi trip costs and directions.

It was a pleasant walk through the courtyard, exiting opposite a small park a few minutes walk from the nearest metro station.

We booked a room for three which turned out to be two single beds and a trundle bed.

The room was clean but very plain (which made us wonder what the standard rooms look like), the bathroom again clean but small (and the toilet seat cover refused to stay up, very annoying.

My room was delightful, the very best part was the bedside ‘command consul’ which allowed my to adjust the lighting or turn it on/off as well as the TV and air con without having to leap out of my seriously comfortable bed.

When I requested a bigger bed (instead of a single bed) they put me into a room with a king-size.

We instantly refused the room and our helpful porter rang reception and we were immediately taken to a non smoking room with a larger than normal king sized bed.

We never ate in the hotel, as there’s a Kopitiam food court right next door, for great value breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with about a dozen different Asian cuisines on offer.

We had a drink in the Lobby Bar which was very expensive but did not eat in the restaurant.

Staff were cheerful and helpful, although the local dish I’d ordered was unavailable so I had some delicious fruit smoothies instead, although more traditional breakfast was being served too.

Food was plentyful for breakfast - continental, American, English, you name it!

Corner restaurant over the road which serves a variety of dishes, which you just go up and get, and only cost about £1.

There's a pool and spa outdoors; a gym with good (underused) exercise facilities; a sauna; and a pool seating area with "room" service.

The room we had was on the top floor, it was very clean and comfortable overlooking the swimming pool and jacuzzi.
