  A little bit of old Portugal and the extensive grounds, fantastic staff, the rooms and the beautiful gardens. Quiet and central, good breakfast, loved the pool.

  Beautiful historical hotel and good service. The rooms were large, comfortable, had a big balcony, and huge bathroom, the breakfast was very nice and substanstial.

  Wonderful setting and reception good. The heat alleviated by lovely fresh breezes and excellent pricey restaurant. Well designed, beautiful garden.

  Great, great breakfast, rather nice gardens.

  Poor choice for vegetarians in the hotel restaurant, very pretentious staff and finally the TV in the room was very old and 14.

  Perfect hotel for reluxing and the beautiful old house. Wonderful service, staff and amenities, exceptionally nice room, great carpets and very good sheets. Not much info available about possibility of evening bar food and superb gardens.

  The peaceful, comfortable atmosphere, great history attached to the house and the staff were most courteous and helpful. The dining room was simple, the gardens were beautiful and the breakfast was very good, the spa was excellent and the massages we had were excellent.

  The place is beautiful and the staff is very polite and helpful. The garden rooms are nice.

  First of all, the location is extremely poor and the food is expensive.
