Hotel Pulitzer Amsterdam - 阿姆斯特丹

The location is superb, as it is located right on 2 major canals.

Well located, found the hotel to be the perfect location for our vacation in amsterdam and the concierge service was the best we have ever experienced.

The location is superb as other reviewers commented, the hotel is located on a quiet canal but only a short walk/tram ride to the hub of the city.

We took the Connexxion bus from the airport directly to the Pulitzer--you buy the ticket at the airport and it's a LOT cheaper than a taxi; it's an 8-passenger van with possibly a stop or two before your hotel.

I would suggest that you get a taxi or shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel.

Now the problems are: my bed sagged, so it was uncomfortable for two people to sleep together, furniture and bathroom seem to be cramped in little space, the corridors are somewhat laberinthic, there is some AC or pipe noises in the room at night.

Further, there was damp on the wall behind our bed, the view was of ugly air conditioning units and the bathroom was so small that you couldn't stand up to use the toilet.

Although the bathroom was a bit small, the room was well appointed with all the necessities and a very comfortable bed.

The suite was a 2 story apartment: foyer, kitchenette, 1 bathroom, 2 bedrooms and living area.

My only complaint with our room, and it was actually part of its charm as well, was having to navigate a steep staircase to get from the bed to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Fortunately, there's lots of neighborhood restaurants and cafes with excellent food offerings for breakfast, lunch and dinner - some however have odd business days/hours.

We ate in the bar one night, the bar staff were terrific, breakfast was also excellent.

I didn't eat at the hotel as there are so many fabulous restaurants in Amsterdam and breakfast weighed in at 27 Euros per person which I thought was a bit much.

For example they don't serve food in the bar or restaurant after 11.

Even though we did not eat the hotel food, breakfasts of great coffee & everything else are in little shops all around the hotel for about 1/4 the price, and a lot more atmosphere.

Front desk/concierge/floor staff could not do enough, and always with a smile.

Smart but not 'up itself', the staff are amazingly friendly, courteous, and everything from reception to room service carried out efficiently.

The staff was courteous and efficient, though the concierge seemed a bit slow to respond to requests for dinner reservations.

It was a long walk from the lobby to the elevator for the wing/building I was in.

Small lobby, small gym, expensive restaurant.

Because the elevator goes upto 5th floor, I thought we had one more floor above us.

Wireless access was $27 US (per 24 hours).

We passed a housekeeping staff as we left the room and I guess he picked it up when he went to clean our room.

This was our second time staying at the Pulitzer, very clean well appointed rooms with outstanding service and hospitality.

That said, every room has character, and has been spotlessly clean and well appointed.

The room we had was spacious for a city centre hotel, clean and very comfortable.

The rooms are absolutely excellent, spacious and clean!
