We went to monoprix and got them sodas and water, so we didn't get to pay the high prices for those in the hotel.
To stay in this hotel for free is an amazing value in central Paris.
Furthermore hotel is beautiful, in an old rich Aunt's home sort of way and yes prices are high.
Even for hotel prices, this was ridiculous!
The location puts you into a VIP neighborhood next to the high end George V and the Prince de Galles in Paris is a great hotel.

Superb location - just a block away from the Champs Elysses and the Metro stop for George V, plus lots of great restaurants nearby.
You are two blocks down from the Arc de Triomphe and at the end of the street is the Metro station that travels directly to the Louvre.
This hotel is right next to the George V, about halfway between two metro stations (a manageable walk to either).
The rooms were beyond comfortable with top quality sheets and bedding, lovely marble baths with all the amenities and plenty of room and closet space (granted we were in a suite).
When we arrived we were shown to a room with one bed "two twins together" When we mentioned we were told we would have three beds they said they would bring a fold away but it would be an extra 80Euros a night.
The baths had a large single sink vanity, marble tub with high tech shower head and hand spray attachment and separate toilet area, room 407 just a toilet and room 405 a toilet and bidet.
The main room was 12'x10', although the bathroom was large; in the main room there was little room to navigate around the queen sized bed.
The room was huge, with a balcony onto George V, and an enourmous bathroom - marble, vanity with chair, huge shower stall with multiple shower heads and excellent water pressure, and a separate tub.
The restaurant and room service were expensive, and portions were small, but we made due with a combination of restaurants and food from wonderful shops nearby.
The restaurant and bar looked great, but this is Paris and if you eat at the hotel much you're just a sad excuse for a traveler.
We did not eat at the hotel restaurant but we did get a drink at the hotel bar one night.
We had breakfast in the hotel which was decent but that was the only meal that we ate there so can't comment on the dining.
Costs in the hotel restaurant and bar are absolutely astronomical -- regardless of the weak dollar -- but with all of the brasseries, cafes and other establishments in the neighborhood (or a short metro ride away), they're unnecessary.

The hotel lobby had beautiful flowers and furnishings, the elevators were fast and available at quick notice, otherwise, the stairs were easy to access and use.
One review complained about the small lift (I'll let you guess the nationality) What do they want to do in the lift?
About the smallest elevators you will ever find, kind of amusing really.
The hotel has Wi-Fi which is very useful, though you needed a daily access card from the business center.
