the room is a nice size and compact and has a clean bathroom. the location is unbeatable and fantastic, 1 mile from aquarama. and it's relatively near downtown.

The hotel was clean and had helpful and efficient staff on the reception desk. I ate at a good restaurant with excellent service. Its location relatively near distinctive Christiansholm Fortress was particularly good and incredible.

The queen room was outstanding with all necessary facilties, the bed was very comfy. Good and unbeatable location, just a pleasant stroll away from Kristiansand Cathedral.

Functional property with pleasant staff and excellent location to from the train station. Location so close to the airport bus stop, Kristiansand for Palmesus Festival, and the centre of Kristiansand. Spacious rooms where the temperature can be individually controlled, very nice stay! Amazing breakfasts, with a nice view and a good variation of food, for instance. Friendly service, parking nearby. By the way, parking fee - usd 28 per day...

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, with easy access to transportation and the city center. The cleanliness of the hotel and my room was impeccable. The facilities provided were top-notch, including a comfortable bed and a coffee machine in the room. The staff were friendly and attentive. it was a great experience.

The hotel staff was very accommodating. They went out of their way to help us, and were polite and professional. The breakfast was wonderful. We also ate dinner there twice, and that was great. The location was central and convenient to the bus and train stations and the car rental place we used. The room was comfortable and the decor was tasteful. I used the exercise (trim) room also. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I didn't like the club across the street. It was very noisy on a Saturday night.

Delicious breakfast and a convenient location near the sea. Despite some noise from nearby events, our elevated room provided a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel's clean and spacious rooms were a welcome retreat. I recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

It was a very nice hotel, centrally located. They had a spa and sauna but it was closed. The included breakfast was one of the better ones I've had, with fresh waffles.

They had no room to park my motorcycle but I had stated in the reservation I needed parking. They did have a lot for vehicles and I could have fit it somewhere. They also had a wedding going on and the noise level in the common areas was unbearable. I took my coffee to my room. I also think it was one of the most over-priced hotels I have stayed in. Kristiansand is a tiny little town with lots of beggars on corners and people trying to pull different scams to get my cell phone. I was surprised to see this in a pretty little beach town. It was raining & I was stuck without a room.

The location. It was walking distance to the main walking streets.

1) Breakfast was a major chaos. We didn't get seated for 20 minutes because it was packed and then they opened up a conference room all the way pass the reception area on the other side. The food area was narrow; layout was messy. For example: the tea, the coffee, the milk and juice were all in 3 different areas. Plates were not immediately replenished. Complete chaos. One of the worst we have experienced 2) Parking - Website stated kr150/day, but hotel charged kr180/day. They refused to honor what was indicated to us. 3) Parking limitation - they should have mentioned that their parking was limited to cars under 2m in height, at the time we booked with the hotel directly. We were lucky to find 1 lot available for cars with skibox. The rest were for cars under 2m. 4) Room service - not available. We had to go to the restaurant to collect our food. Since I had ordered food for 4 mains, I was given food trays and had to go in 2 rounds. It would have been helpful to (at least) have trolleys available. 5) Food - salty. Ordered the fish soup and it was beyond salty. Menu said it came with bread. We did not get bread. 6) Room furniture - dated. Except for the flatscreen TV, all else was old. Basically, this hotel is completely inadequate. This is a 3 star hotel at most. Nothing more. Only positive is the location. We wouldn't be coming back again.

As party people, we loved the spacious rooms and modern decor. The hotel had excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds, and a good breakfast spread. The staff were friendly and helpful.

everything is little bit "old fashion" - furniture has it own age, will be fine to refresh it.

I needed a one-night break from backpacking in Norway, and decided upon this hotel. So glad I did! There's nothing much you can do about the price; it's expensive everywhere so you need to find the most bang for your buck. This hotel was the only one with a bathtub, which meant the bathroom was a great size.. I wrote in advance about my early arrival, and while they couldn't guarantee an early check-in, they made it happen. They served me breakfast earlier than usual because I had to catch my ferry. They helped me with the laundry facilities on the 7th floor. I used the tiny gym and sauna on the 8th floor, which also features a quiet reflection room and rooftop deck for relaxing. Everything was clean and comfortable, and it's a quick trip to the train station and ferry dock.

Proximity to nightclub across the street. However, I did know about that in advance. The perks outweighed this one negative.

Generous breakfast, excellent location, kind staff, clean and comfortable room, efficient and friendly cleaning staff, fresh and tasty breakfast.
