The location is very close to the airport, and within walking distance from the city's largest shopping mall, the Mediterenean Cosmos (though the road to get there is not pedestrian friendly).
Service is of high standard, and although the location is not the best, the hotel makes up to it by its immaculate design!
However, it is very far from the city itself, and thus you will have to take a taxi all the time (which will cost around €10 every time, as taxis are cheap) if you want to go downtown.
To arrange a transport to the aIRPORT, ALTHOUGH ONLY A FEW MINUTES Away, took some effort.
But, the standard things, such as a very comfortable bed, and a bathroom with both walk in shower and bathtub, where great.
Rooms on 2nd and 3rd floor have balconies, beds kingsize, separate glass walled showers from the tubs, and really nice room.
The beds and pillows are very comfortable, the bathroom huge, and spotlessly clean.
This is a really modern hotel, first a little confusing, even the hallways are not straight forward, but the longer I stayed, the more I enjoyed the special designs of the furniture and the way the rooms were decorated.
A lot of stuff still bears the "Kempinski" logo (such as the bathroom towels), but the Hotel is no longer managed by the chain.
The prices for the food are also HUGE, it looks like a restaurant for rich people in Greece, not for people staying at the hotel.
It has an italian restaurant with good food, not too expensive.
When going next to you in the halls not saying hello and looking in other directions, people at the pool bar were not speaking english or speaking very bad, really hard to understand.
The hotel is let down however by the presence of only 1 restaurant which, every evening didn't have like 50% of the courses in the menu.
Needed to take taxis at night to find restaurants.
All employees from the receptionist to the cleaning lady were very helpful.
Turn down service was given on daily basis.
The staff was very polite and friendly and the food served superb.
Near airport, nice hotel and the staff was so welcoming.
Good SPA area & gym and i used taxis to get into Thessaloniki.
10 for square feet) is the largest pool in Greece, nicely done, drinks by the pool, a great sauna, steam, exercise stuff, and only 5 Euros by taxi to downtown.
