Hotel Mercure Cite Des Papes

The location wonderful, the standard of accommodation was very good for the star grading of the hotel and staff were efficient and courteous.

This had perfect location, the staff was really polite and helpful, the room was very comfortable.

Parking was in the underground car par Palais de Papes; but it was really well signposted and there was a discount.

Parking was available at the Palais de Papes underground garage for about 5 Euro with hotel discount.

The rooms are simple but beds very comfortable and the air con is very welcome after walking around the town.

Room: Ask for rooms that are not facing the square, it is too loud.

The room was large enough, comfortable, nice bathroom, everything I expected.

The bathroom was large, but we noticed some mildew growing in the edges of the bathtub.

The room was very small, everything was worn-out (carpet, tile, bedding) and a bit dirty.

The breakfast was pretty good, with the restaurant opening to a shaded terrace outside.

It has two attached restaurants; we never ate in the up-scale one, but had a very nice meal at the outdoor café.

Breakfast is adequate, for other meals there are many better choices (refer to Michelin or other guides) nearby.

A helpful smiling staff, a good breakfast buffet.

The cafes and restaurants near the hotel are to be avoided however with much better options available nearer the towns produce market - also worth a visit, and it’s fully covered.

The location was very convenient right next to the palace of Popes, the front desk staff was excellent.

One caution: There is another Mercure Hotel very nearby--unlike this one, it is accessible from the parking structure for the Cite des Papes.

It is a short walk from the parking (8E/day) and is complicated to get to.

If you have a car, you should go around the city walls until you find the entrance to the Palais Des Papes Parking.

The rooms were very comfortable and clean.

The staff is very nice, and tried to move us to another room, but there wasn't one that was clean, and I do not expect much other than general clean.

The room was clean and about average sized for a European hotel (small).

The bathroom was very clean and big and looked new.

This room was completely remodeld, clean and slightly larger.
