Hotel Marine Plaza Mumbai - 孟买

Perfect location for adventures in Back Bay and the rooms are spacious.

Good location and overall the hotel was nice.

Great location, right on the ocean and walking distance from the main tourist areas of Mumbai.

They would also send me to station to station to ask the same question just to be redirected back to the front desk, simple items like getting a taxi would be very difficult to arrange at this hotel.

Location is quite good as well, but it's very far from the airport, so take the train to Churchgate instead of a cab, takes only a fraction of the time.

We went to our room to find there was a terrible smell in the bathroom, after calling reception to ask to move rooms, they sent housekeeping to spray some air freshner and clean the toilet.

The bathroom had all we could wish for, with copious towels and bath products.

Personnel is very friendly and helpful, large suite like rooms.

I recommend this hotel to anyone who wants classy service, clean rooms, hygienic bathrooms and divine food.

By 1pm we called and they said there were no rooms available in our category so we would have to use another room to then be moved again when a suitable room became free!

Small lounge area, nice bar, restaurant was OK but the buffet was fairly limited and there seemed to be quite a bias towards western food on the a la carte.

The bar is a good sign in my opinion and the food at the Seaview restaurant is mediocre at best.

The food in "Geoffrys pub" was really good, and the food in the Bayview 24hr restaurant was FANTASTIC - better than some restaurants recommened in my timeout book!

And nobody should leave there without trying out the delicious chinese cuisine at the in house restaurant "Oriental Blossom".

The same goes for the staff in the restaurant serving breakfast - you had to ask for absolutely everything!

Great location, the chineese restaurant in the hotel was good as well and the staff at the front desk were helpful.

The reception staff weren't great either.

In fact some of the larger more expensive hotels should go for a crash course to Marine Plaza so that they can learn world class service.

To top this all off the front desk manager felt free to use a key to open my locked room door to talk to me.

Nice modern building complete and fast transparent elevators up to pool above lobby.

In addition, the facilities were not worth the high rates, with no gym or spa, and a $15/hour internet fee.

A lovely view over Marine Drive up to Chowpatty beach and the rooms themselves are both modern and clean.

Firstly, was the toilet not already clean?

Well soundproofed from the outside - and therefore no fresh air - but not so good between rooms.
